STUDIES IN HEBREWS CHAPTER 11 VS 29-30 Warnings against False Teachers: Heb 5:9And being made perfect, he became the author of ETERNAL salvation unto them that obey him; Therefore, ANYONE CLAIMING ETERNAL SALVATION IS NOT PERMENANT IS A FALSE TEACHER. ANYONE CLAIMING JESUS GOD THE SON OF GOD IS NOT EQUAL WITH GOD IS A FALSE TEACHER. False teachers leave the word ETERNAL out when they refer to salvation so that they can pervert it to lie and say it is just a conditional salvation that can be lost. JESUS IS GOD THE SON OF GOD WHOM GOD DECLARES IS EQUAL WITH HIM. EQUAL MEANS OF THE SAME QUALITY, QUANTITY, AND VALUE.
Throughout
scripture EQUAL MEANS OF THE SAME QUALITY, QUANTITY,
AND VALUE.
Phl 2:6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: These are false direct evil attacks on eternal truth Lord Jesus Christ, His everlasting New Covenant and His perfect eternal atonement for the sins of all who believe in Him. The false teacher will deny absolutes of scripture such as forever, everlasting, eternal, always, that which God employs to declare is permanent, irrevocable. 2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10If thereome any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. Mat 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad
Dearly beloveds, this is why God wants all of His people to
study, grow up and know the Word of God for themselves rather than to remain
perpetual dependent students where they can be open to deception/lies of wicked
and evil persons who desire to turn them away from the truth of scriptures.
Brothers and sisters, we
study, believe and do the word of God as a way of life to please God, and we
also prevent false teachers from deceiving or tricking us to falsely believe
that New Covenant salvation or forgiveness is temporary and can be lost as it
was under the Law of Moses, instead of what it is ETERNAL SALVATION. permanent
and can never be lost.
1Ti 4:1Now the
Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the
latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving
heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking
lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared
with a hot iron;
2Pe 2:1But there
were false prophets also among the
people, even as there shall
be false teachers among you, who privily shall
bring in damnable heresies, even denying the
Lord that bought them, and bring upon
themselves swift destruction.
Eph 4:14That we henceforth be no more children, tossed
to and fro, and carried about with every wind of
doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:15But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in
all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Grow up: 2Ti 3:16-17; 2Pe 3:18; Col 1:28; Jas 3:2; Mat 5:48
“Therefore you
shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Perfect: brought to its end,
finished; wanting nothing necessary to completeness; perfect; full grown,
adult, of full age, mature.
1Co 13:11When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as
a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put
away childish things.
Brothers and sisters, thank
God our Father for His great eternal love and truth towards His people. His
eyes never close in sleep. He is continually watching over His people. Thank
God the Son of God Jesus Christ, the Word of God our Saviour, and great
Shepherd of the flock for His great eternal love, truth, and salvation, through
whom we have been made joint heirs with Him in the kingdom of God. Thank God
our Holy Spirit for His great eternal love, and truth, who is the witness
before the throne of God that all who believe in the Son, belong to Him.
We know that God is love: 1Jo 4:7
Beloved, let
us love one
another: for love is of God; and every
one that loveth is
born of God, and knoweth God. 8He
that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
The Word of God is eternal, inerrant, explicit, exclusive, exhaustive, and absolute authority in clearly
declaring that our NEW
SPIRITUAL BIRTH is
evidenced in our love for God and one another. No love=no life. We
love God because He first loved us and gave His Son Jesus Christ for us.
Now, and in the Lord’s earthly ministry, He clearly expected His
people to love Him back even as He loved them. There is no cherry picking about
the kind of love God gives and also expects BACK freely from His people: Mar 12:30; 1Jo 4:19.
Holy people, we cannot fail to notice
our Lord’s displeasure with His church in Ephesus: Rev 2:4Nevertheless I
have somewhat against thee, because thou hast
left thy first love. Jhn 14:24; Mat 10:37-38.
Therefore, Jesus
commands them: Rev 3:19 As many
as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be
zealous therefore, and repent.
Dearly beloveds, the mature Christian knows why Jesus does
not tell His people to seek or beg Him to forgive them over and over again
after salvation as under the Law. But for any that do not know and are still
wondering, it is because the New Covenant is a blood covenant: Luk 22:20; 1Co 11:25; Heb 10:17.
Under it only
the sinless body and blood of Jesus Christ can gain eternal salvation-forgiveness
from God, for all that believe in His Son Jesus Christ, after which all of our
sins past, present and future are taken away by HIm forever: Heb 5:9And being made perfect, he became the
author of ETERNAL salvation unto all them that
obey him;
See Jude
1: 24.
Just as Jesus commands His church in Ephesus, He commands all
of His people to repent from doing our own will instead of His; because we have received the power through the
Holy Spirit to choose to obey God and repent-turn from doing our own wills to
doing the only will that matters which is God’s proof positive that we belong
to God, are of His spirit and that we
truly love Him: Jhn 14:21He that
hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it
is that loveth me: and he
that loveth me shall be
loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will
manifest myself to him.
Conversely: Jhn 14:24.
Christians are spiritual people; we need the spiritual food
of the Word to grow us to maturity over time and be spiritually healthy.
Brothers and sisters, love, blessings, and power for living
the abundant life in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ- be yours always. As we
continue on with the study, we know that suffering is something that some Christians
might not see much if any benefit/value
in or as a good thing.
Certainly, the secular world regards suffering /persecution as unwelcome,
victimization and/or misfortune. Even among some Christians suffering might be
seen as misfortune, punishment, or even a generational curse that must be
broken, although the Bible clearly teaches that Lord Jesus Christ took our
curse away in His atonement: Gal 3:13.
Paul the apostle, found that these Hebrew believers were tired of
suffering/persecution, and wanted their reward from God without any further delay. It
didn’t help that they had ceased to study/retain scripture and thus had spiritually declined/spiraled downward to
operating by their personal opinions.
Now we find Paul patiently, but rigorously, meticulously
aiding these believers to relearn
scripture, to comprehend that they and us too are commanded by God to filter
our understanding of both the natural world and the spiritual world reliably
through the inerrant absolute Word, of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, not our personal opinions or the secular
world’s perspective, all the while aligning our will with God’s WILL TO BECOME
MATURE believers GROWING UP IN Christ.
It is error to call faith “blind faith”, because through
God’s word we see clearly through God’s eyes to attain the vision of hindsight,
insight and foresight into the eternal truth and power of God.
Dearly beloveds, it's obvious that these Hebrew believers were
highly receptive to Paul’s leading them back to the Word of God, specificallythe New Covenant of Jesus Christ. Paul helps
these believers to understand that suffering/persecution for righteousness is not a unique experience or only for certain groups of believers. He
takes them through a long list of believers who overcame and were found
faithful despite fiery trials.
We
know and believe without a doubt that no Christian is abandoned by God or ever
left alone, whether in suffering/persecution or not, for it is God who bears us all up in
our trials and sufferings. Suffering/persecution for righteousness’ sake is not a curse,
nor a judgment from God on any believer.
Suffering/persecution has a purpose, suffering/persecution is unavoidable. It is improper for any of us to teach
Christians that they will never suffer/ or be persecuted on this present evil earth.
God
our Father tested His own and only biological Son Jesus Christ, (Heb
4:15),
and also allows the faith of all claiming to be believers to be tested, tried and proven as to its genuineness or lack thereof through suffering/persecution.
The benefits of suffering/persecution (for righteousness’) is that we are strengthened,
gain patience, grow to maturity, able to help others as we have been helped, and
later everlasting rewards in the world to come:
Phl 2:13For it
is God which worketh in you both to will and to
do of his good pleasure.
1Th 5:18In every thing give
thanks: for this is
the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
2Ti 3:12Yea, and all that
will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer
persecution.
See 2Th 1 purpose
of; avenger of those persecuted; 1Pe 4:12-19.
Paul, James, and Peter
weigh in on suffering/persecution: 2Ti 2:12; Jas 1:2-9; 1Pe 5: 6-10.
Let us, holy
people, retain our focus with the truth that suffering/persecution for righteousness’
sake is normative for the Christian. It is the testing of our faith that God
allows, which proves whether we are authentic Christians or not. Without faith
which works by and is empowered by love for God above all, none of our
knowledge or works have any value, is meaningless to God and can never please
nor be accepted by Him in any way or manner whatsoever: Heb 11:6.
Heb 11:29 By
faith they passed through the
Red sea as by dry land: which the
Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
Under horrific circumstances the nation was tested to the core,
spiritually and physically. They overcame their own fear to trust in God and
walked through the Red sea on dry land.
Dearly beloved, Israel had no fighting army, at this time
they were newly escaped slaves. Yet, their passing through the Red sea was
nevertheless, the last episode in an epic, open for all to see, spiritual
battle between God vs Pharaoh an evil man who trafficked with demonic forces
backed by the devil himself: 1Co 10:20. Those
idols and so- called gods of Egypt along with the magicians (sorcerers or male witches) had devils operating behind and
through them.
Some might say that since God hardened Pharaoh’s heart how can
God hold him guilty?
Pharaoh refused to humble himself before the Lord, instead he,
filled with pride, had said to God: Exo 5:2And Pharaoh said, Who is the
LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I
know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go. Pharaoh hardened
his own heart: Exo
8:32.
Hardening means God allowed this evil man to be given over to
his already reprobate mind to ripen to the fullest of his evil hatred of God
and His people, to make an example of him to the Egyptians and show Israel the unlimited
power of God The Deliverer to defend His people against all comers.
This Pharaoh that God drowned in the Red sea with his army is
not that Pharaoh whose daughter took Moses to be her son. Her father Pharaoh-
also the Pharaoh’s were known as Kings of Egypt died along with the other men wanting to kill Moses, some years after Moses had
fled out of Egypt: Exo
2:23.
This new Pharaoh’s magicians had failed to defeat the powers
of God, so at the last Pharaoh presumed he could defeat God with all of his
physical might and recapture the Hebrew slaves. The Egyptian powers likely
aided by demonic partnership that had overcome the nations and brought many
into bondage would not and could not have any effect on God Almighty, who is
indestructible, invincible, King of kings and Lord of lords, who always wins,
whom no foe whether human or devil can ever defeat.
God, besides killing all the first born of Egypt including
Pharaoh’s son had left the nation of Egypt a total wreck. God the Destroyer, left Egypt entirely trashed, killing
the cattle and destroying the land too.
Pharaoh fully revealing his true nature that of a ravaging evil beast came into the Red
sea filled with savage hatred and the intense desire to destroy God’s people and was met
with more than his match in God and paid for it with his life along with his entire
army.
When the Nation looked back, they glorified their God the Deliverer seeing that He
had utterly destroyed their enemy and saved them with a mighty hand. The bodies
of the Egyptians washed ashore lying dead on the shore of the Red sea left a terrifying
message from God the Destroyer to Egypt His enemy and all enemies-God is unstoppable in
vengeance, and there is no rescue for the wicked from His mighty hand.
SPIRITUAL WARFARE: God rips the covers off of the works of darkness to expose this coalition of the Evil Pharaohs with the kingdom of the devil. The expected method of operations of the devil: Kill, steal, and destroy, fit perfectly with the plans of the ruling evil heads of Egypt. Pharaoh-steal the labor of the people by force, kill all the new born males to preserve his kingdom from potential inside threat, destroy them from ever becoming a kingdom once and for all time. The devil: steal the freedom of the nation to go forward. The devil who is not omniscient didn't know which child would be the deliverer therefore his plan was to kill all the new born Hebrew males, eliminate the future deliverer, to ascend the satanic kingdom and destroy the kingdom of God from ever coming into being forever through the Messiah that was to arise out of the nation of Israel. We comprehend, dearly beloveds, that all the suffering/persecution that the nation endured was not random or unintentional, but planned, by the devil in partnership with evil men, insidious and ultimately meant to be deadly. The nation would surely have perished, but for the hand of God Almighty. That same God Almighty is still preserving His church now and forever. God always wins.
Heb. 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho down after they were compassed about seven days.
The people of God in obedience and faith, led by their
priests without any kind of weapons destroyed the walls of Jericho by the power
of God, which fell down flat before them enabling their army to enter the city
and take it. There are some battles that can only be won through the power of God
working directly and even through His faithful people, according to His Sovereign Will.
Love and
truth forever, serola
