Heb
6: God's
Promise of salvation is Certain
13For when God made promise to Abraham,
because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14Saying, Surely
blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15And so, after
he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16For men verily
swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of
all strife. 17Wherein God, willing
more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his
counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18That by two
immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might
have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope
set before us: 19Which hope
we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth
into that within the veil; 20Whither
the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for
ever after the order of Melchisedec.
False teachers try to promote Moses and the
Law, Job, Peter, Paul and even some of the prophets above and over Jesus Christ,
Saviour, Mediator, High Priest and Head of the church, His body.
These
holy men will rise up in the judgement before God and accuse these false
teachers who lie on them falsely teaching that they are the source of salvation.
The truth is that every last one of these holy men, all of them preached and pointed to
Jesus Christ as God’s only appointed eternal Saviour, in full agreement with
the absolute will and purpose of God.
We
end this chapter here, Brothers and sisters, where God boldly absolutely
eternally positions and defends His Son Jesus Christ as His sole appointed
Saviour for all men. Thereby giving absolute assurances to all the heirs of
Abraham, all who believe with this same faith as he, that God will bless and receive them forever, world without end, Amen.
Gen 22:18 - And in thy seed shall all the
nations of the earth be blessed;
because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Gal 3:16
- Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of
many; but as of one, And to thy seed,
which is Christ. God
boldly, eternally declares here that He has appointed Jesus Christ, His Son
alone as the only eternal high priest forever, after the order of Melchisedec. The
nature of the blessings of the new eternal high priest Jesus Christ: Heb 1: 3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places
in Christ: The
nature of the power of the new eternal high priest Jesus Christ: Jhn 17:2 - As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should
give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 1Co 2:5 - That your faith should
not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Eph 1:21 - Far above all
principality, and power, and
might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but
also in that which is to come Eph 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be
strong in the Lord, and in the power
of his might. Col 2:10 - And ye are complete in
him, which is the head of all principality and power: 1Pe 1:5 - Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto
salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 2Pe 1:3 - According as his divine power hath given unto us all things
that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that
hath called us to glory and virtue:
Blessed
are all who turn to Jesus Christ with the same faith as Abraham without works
to receive the blessings of remission of all sins through the eternal seed and
only Saviour Jesus Christ.
Holy
people we must bring forth the whole counsel of God:
Gal 1:8 - But though we, or an angel from
heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto
you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9
- As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other
gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

JOURNEY
IN HEBREWS
Heb 6:9But, beloved, we are persuaded better
things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. 10For God is
not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed
toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11And we desire
that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope
unto the end: 12That ye be not
slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the
promises.
Brothers
and sisters, God expects better things of the Christian, (consistent good
fruit, faith, truth, love) which are evidence of the salvation we claim to
have. God can expect these better things of us because by grace alone, through
faith (not of ourselfes) in His Son Jesus Christ we have fully received
everything we need to fulfill the will of the Father.
Therefore,
we can serve God and one another in the Spirit of the law of grace, out of love
and trust in God and not out of fear of punishment which is the spirit of the
Law of death and punishment and the curse. Our walk is not passive, but one of actively appropriating our God given
power and strength, while faithfully putting it to use in practice. We never
need worry because some might not appreciate our good works, the only relevant
thing is that our Lord is always watching all the time and will never forget
what we do out of love for the saints (G40 hagios) out of love and trust in
Him.
Rather
than being slothful followers of Jesus Christ, instead we must be faithful and consistent
in obeying the foundational truth of the principles of the doctrine of Jesus Christ.
In
our regeneration we all become new spiritual creations, which means that now we
need the spiritual food of the Word of God in order to know Him and grow in
following Him.
Jhn 6:53 - Then Jesus said unto
them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except
ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in
you.
Jesus
was not referring to cannibalism or drinking His blood. We know the Bible forbids
the drinking of blood, eating the flesh of people. Just as the natural man needs
food in order to survive, all born again Christians made spiritually alive need
spiritual food, which is the Word of God:
Jhn 6:63 - It is the spirit that
quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Rom 8:2 - For the law of the Spirit of life
in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the
law of sin and death.
1Co 2:12 - Now we have received,
not the spirit of the
world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might
know the things that are freely
given to us of God.
2Co 3:17 - Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is liberty.
Rom 7:6 - But now we are delivered
from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in
newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. The oldness of the letter is the Law of condemnation,
death, and the curse.
2Co 3:6 - Who also hath made us
able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
The
warning here is that the only food that will feed the Christian is the words of
Jesus Christ, ordained by God the
Father. love serola

JOURNEY
IN HEBREWS
Heb
6: 4For it is
impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly
gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And
have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall
fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to
themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7For the earth
which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs
meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8But that which
beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing;
whose end is to be burned.
The
unlearned are terrified at the above passages, which are often misinterpreted
to apply to the true born- again Christian. This mainly due to a lack of Bible study
and or teaching in the absolute doctrine of Jesus christ. However, the righteous
when taught the truth will believe it but the wicked never will. Salvation is eternal
for all who believe and obey Jesus Christ. If eternal salvation were not true (we
know it is true,), it would mean that, God forbid, but that God lied which is
impossible.
False
teachers use these verses to vilify and slander the absolute eternal, explicit,
exhaustive, inerrant truth of the word of God with its testimony of eternal
truth love and life for all who believe on and in the Son of God the true eternal
Saviour Jesus Christ.
Holy
people, because we know it is absolutely impossible for God to lie we know the
above passages regarding the impossibility of renewing or bringing people back
to Christ who were once seemingly saved, but afterwards turned away from him is
absolutely not speaking of believers, but unrepentant unbelievers.
The
Bible gives too many examples of false conversion to be posted here, feel free
to study this further on your own: Luk 8:13;
Mat 13:19-22; Mat 13:37-43; 1Jo 2:19; 1Ti 4:1; Rev 9:20. The doctrine of Jesus Christ
sets the absolute standard for whom God considers absolutely belongs to Him and
whom He absolutely does not consider belongs to Him for all time. There is
never a mix of the two and there is no doctrine of backsliding in the new covenant.
The doctrine of Christian backsliding is
heresy: Mat 7:18 - A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Luk
6:43 - For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit;
neither doth a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.
1Pe 1:23 - Being born again, not
of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and
abideth for ever.
Heb 11:6 - But without faith it
is impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
1Jo 3:6 - Whosoever abideth in him
sinneth not: whosoever sinneth
hath not seen him, neither known
him.
1 Jhn 5:18We know that whosoever is born of God
sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked
one toucheth him not. 19And we know
that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20And
we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that
we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in
his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
Pe 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten
us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and
undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 1Pe 1:5 Who
are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed
in the last time.
1Pe 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though
now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
When the true Christian goes through trials He or she is joyous and remains faithful.
The false Christian is joyless, and offended at God under trial and falls away in
complaining and unbelief permanently. The false convert never believed in the
first place. love serola

JOURNEY
IN HEBREWS
Heb 6:1 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ,
let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance
from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of
laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3
And this will we do, if God permit.
We
are commanded by God, brothers and sisters, to be absolutely, faithfully,
steadfastly grounded in the principles of the doctrine of Jesus Christ, which
He has listed. By leaving them it is meant that we no longer stumble around
trying to understand them but have the full absolute grasp of them so that we can
serve and obey God in love and truth in them and through them. We can defend
them, as well to all comers.
Everyone
desiring to go on to perfection does not have to wonder how to do it, as though
it is a mystery. The Bible is easy to understand, because that’s what God wants
for all who believe in and obey His only begotten Son whom He has appointed as
the only eternal saviour. Jhn 17:20 - Neither pray I for
these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me
through their word; Jhn 14:1 - Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
God
gives us His standard for those desiring to go on to perfection, all must be
absolutely, faithful and steadfast, in knowing, understanding, believing and
obeying the principles of the doctrine of Jesus Christ, as laid out in
scripture and final, fixed and complete in the new covenant. His check list-really
is as much a measuring stick to see where we are in our journey, as well as the
measure that shows we are indeed going on to perfection. This is the journey,
holy people, He sends us on and helps us greatly along the way to attain the
perfection He desires for us all, in being absolutely rooted unmovable in the
principles of the doctrine of Jesus Christ.
All
know when they are going on to perfection in the principles of the doctrine of Jesus
Christ, because they can absolutely, faithfully, steadfastly believe, agree,
and obey God according to His word without doubt or wavering grounded in the
foundational truths of the Bible and is therefore fully able to go on towards
perfection.
However,
those still not grounded in the foundational principles of the eternal truths
of the doctrine of Jesus Christ are commanded to continue on through faith,
study, practice, and trust until they are fully and absolutely grounded in the
foundational truths of the Bible. There is absolutely no options or plan B’s
for anyone claiming to be a Christian. There
is only one correct interpretation of the Bible according to the Bible.
THOSE
GOING ON TO PERFECTION ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE:
1. The
principles of the doctrine of Jesus Christ as laid out in scripture and final
in His New covenant, rooted in absolute love and truth. Yes, we absolutely
believe and agree steadfastly in the faith without doubt and wavering, that
there is only ONE correct interpretation of the bible, Jesus Christ alone is
God’s only absolute, inerrant appointed Mediator, High Priest and Saviour and
the sole source of salvation for all who believe and obey him. Yes, we
absolutely believe and agree faithfully and steadfast that Jesus Christ is
fully man without ever ceasing to be God the Son. Yes, we believe and agree
absolutely in faith without wavering, that Jesus Christ has always existed in
one eternal God, in three distinct persons, inseparably, bound together in
truth and love: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Yes, we
absolutely steadfastly and faithfully believe all that He has done in heaven
and on earth, that He resides in the spirits of all who believe in and on Him,
forgives all their sins forever, fills
them with the Holy Spirit, makes them new creations in Him, is their Advocate
before the throne of the Father, and will return again to take them unto
Himself, then come to absolutely destroy the rule of all human and satanic evil
for all eternity, then create new heavens and a new earth where the righteous will abide with God
forever.
2. Doctrine
of repentance from dead works. Yes, we absolutely believe and agree faithfully
and steadfastly, that all sin is wrong. As forgiven holy people we have stopped
making excuses for our sins and short comings through repenting, turning from
them and doing God’s will rather than choosing to rebel by doing our own.
3. Doctrine
of faith in God. Yes, we absolutely believe, obey and agree faithfully and
steadfastly with the Bible and all that it has said about God because God is
absolute truth and it is impossible for him to lie.
4. The
doctrine of baptisms. Yes, we absolutely faithfully and steadfastly believe,
agree and Know the doctrine of the baptisms: the doctrine of the baptism of the
Holy Spirit and the doctrine of water baptism are not the same. The baptism of
the Holy Spirit is received at faith in and through Jesus Christ for all time
at the time of salvation. None can be regenerated nor considered a Christian
who has never received the Holy Spirit. We absolutely, faithfully, and
steadfastly believe and agree and know that water baptism is for believers only,
is an ordinance of the church and can never bestow salvation. Water baptism follows
after salvation as a public act of identification as a believer in Jesus
Christ. Baptism in water is a symbol of Christ’s burial and resurrection. Our
entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’s death on the
cross, His burial in the tomb, and His resurrection from the dead. “Going under
the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a
resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ.
5. The
doctrine of the laying on of hands, and the difference between certain specific
acts of the laying on of hands that were limited- given only to God’s apostles
and that the type of laying on of hands given to the church as a whole- are not
the same and not for the same purpose. Apostolic laying on of hands, was given
only to the apostolic ministry: Act 8:18 And
when Simon saw that through laying
on of the apostles' hands
the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money.
6. The
doctrine of the resurrection of the dead-Yes we absolutely believe and agree
faithfully without doubt or wavering that all those in Christ will be resurrected
to eternal life, and shall have everlasting life in His kingdom, and those who
refuse to believe in Him-His enemies, will be resurrected to the second death which
is the final death, eternal damnation, and eternal separation from God and
eternal unabated torment the lake of fire, prepared for the devil and his
angels and all unrepentant sinners.
7. The
doctrine of eternal judgement for believers and unbelievers- yes, we believe
and agree faithfully and steadfast that God’s
judgement is final, fixed, complete, and
absolute. Those forgiven of all their sins- all believers, eternally escape the
wrath of God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. The unbelieving sinner will
receive the full brunt of God’s wrath against all sinners for having rejected
the sole source of complete atonement for all sins Jesus Christ, God’s only
appointed saviour. Therefore, all unrepentant sinners will pay for all their
own sins in unabated torment for all eternity, seeing they have rejected the
sole source of atonement for all sins through Jesus Christ, the only appointed
saviour by God.
Dearly
beloveds we can all go on to perfection by being absolutely, firmly, unwavering
faithful in believing and obeying the foundational principles of the New
Covenant of Jesus Christ. This is God’s absolute will for His people-His will
is always absolute. Anyone who cannot absolutely believe and agree with God,
the problem is not with God nor can it ever be, the problem is with them. I
pray they will repent.
Help
the weak brother or sister, saints (G40 hagios). We are not in a competition,
but in cooperation with God in aiding one another in our journey in going on to
perfection. love serola

JOURNEY
IN HEBREWS
GOD
CALLS US TO MATURITY
Heb 6:1 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ,
let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance
from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of
laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God
permit.
The
Bible reminds us again here that there is no doctrine of perpetual spiritual
babyhood, where those claiming to be Christians never grow to absolute spiritual
and moral maturity. God in these first few verses of Hebrews gives His absolute
standard by which we can measure our own growth over time. Certainly, we may
all arrive at different times, learning incrementally, but it is the
expectation of God that at some point we absolutely reach stability in our understanding
of the guiding eternal principals of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ.
This
means, brothers and sisters, that we do not reach perfection overnight, however
by the power of God, the grace of Jesus Christ, and the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit, our growth with our regular rigorous Bible study, the aid of servant leaders, godly teachers and the body
general is incremental, so that over time we absolutely are not still questioning, doubting, and/or resisting the
foundational principals of the New testament of Jesus Christ, but steadfast and
immoveable without doubting, or resisting, this is the place where all Christians
move on to perfection. We find ourselves no longer wishy washy, touchy feely,
warm and fuzzy, wavering, doubting, compromising with the world, the flesh,
including our own old nature, and the devil; as opposed to those who are:
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come
to the knowledge of the truth. This state, according to the Bible, is never the
hallmark of true Christians. We do not have to worry because we know God is faithful and keeps His promise, every Christian will grow by His power out of love and obedience to Him.
Perfection:
the state of the more intelligent; moral and spiritual perfection.
Perfect: Mat 5:48 - Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is
in heaven is perfect.
God
is not sitting around doubting Himself in fact it is impossible for God to
doubt Himself, His will and His work. He expects the same of His people.
Luk 6:40 - The disciple is not
above his master: but every one that is perfect
shall be as his master.
Jesus
Christ is not sitting around doubting His Father, doubting Himself, as it is
impossible for He is perpetually steadfast in belief, knowing and doing the
work and will of the Father, and we are commanded to be the same.
Perfect: to render, i.e. to fit, sound, complete.
A. to
mend (what has been broken or rent), to repair
i.to
complete.
B. to
fit out, equip, put in order, arrange, adjust.
.to fit or frame for one's self,
prepare.
C. ethically:
to strengthen, perfect, complete, make one what he ought to be.

WITCHCRAFT
IN THE CHURCH
Brothers
and sisters this might appear to be an odd place to bring up the subject of
witchcraft in the church. However, it is not and we will look at it briefly at
this time. Obviously, even baby Christians know witchcraft is forbidden by God to
be practiced by anyone including the Christian. The problem is that even some
seasoned mature Christians do not recognize it when it appears amongst the
church, but many do and oppose. Witchcraft is trying to gain something by ways
and methods forbidden by God, and/or through some other source of power whether
human or the satanic realm. We have some coming out of the seminaries and
others who promote man- made ways etc. to build up the church such as
installing so called “worship leaders” and “music ministries” among other machinations
“to build up the church” and attract people to fill it.
Whenever
these so called music ministries are installed or appear the congregational
singing of praises to God ceases as these entertainers drown out the voices of
the people of God with amplified music and worldly songs, hoping to make a lot
of money by becoming “gospel stars of music”.
The preaching of the gospel message also
plummets to last or near last place in the service. The gospel is seen as too
harsh and replaced with humor, homilies, and maybe even plays and dancers or
even a movie. The whole purpose of this is to gain money not converting people
to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The
righteous will repent of this evil but the wicked never will. Thank God for the
multitude of true servant leaders who carefully guard and protect the gospel
and their flock from this and all apostasy because they believe and know the
truth that:
Psa 127:1 - [[A Song of degrees
for Solomon.]] Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman
waketh but in vain.
JOURNEY IN HEBREWS
We return to our
journey in Hebrews to the only Saviour appointed by God to save and build up
His eternal church: Jesus said: Jhn 12:32 - And
I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Dull of Hearing, Have Need of Milk
Heb 5: 11Of whom we have many things to say,
and hard to explain, seeing you are dull of hearing.
12For when for the time you ought to be
teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles
of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of
solid food. 13For every one that
uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
I.Babe:
an infant, little
child
II.a
minor, not of age
III.metaph.
childish, untaught, unskilled
Heb 5: 14But solid food belongs to them that
are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to
discern both good and evil.
The
Bible, dearly beloveds, encourages, warns
and commands that every believer can and must grow to maturity through learning
living and applying the gospel message. Failure for us to develop and grow as a
Christian is not an option, can never be justified and is never acceptable to God.
Eternal babyhood is not a doctrine of the New Testament of Jesus Christ. Certainly,
these Christians are the cause of their own lack of growth and the Bible gives
none of us any excuse for this. They became spiritual cripples useless to teach
anything because they refused to learn and retain anything.
We
don’t have to be this way the Bible is not learned by osmosis we all must study
learn retain and apply what we learn through which God will mature us give us
the knowledge and ability to discern both good and the evil.
I.Full age: brought to its end, finished
II.wanting nothing necessary to
completeness
III.perfect
IV.that which is perfect
A. consummate
human integrity and virtue
B. of
men
i.full
grown, adult, of full age, mature
Exercised:
to exercise vigorously, in any way, either the body or the mind.
Discern:
diakrisis a distinguishing, discerning, judging.
We
end the fifth chapter of Hebrews here on this note and I pray and know that God
will certainly grant us all the ability to grow in His grace, as we faithfully
study and live His word out of love for and obedience to Him.

JOURNY
IN HEBREWS
Heb 5: 7Who
in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with
strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was
heard in that he feared; 8Though he were a Son, yet learned
he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9And
being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them
that obey him; 10Called
of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Scripture
takes great care to repeatedly point out the eternal permanency of the high
priesthood of Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters, despite His great suffering,
vilification, abuse, stalking, ceaseless death threats and plots to murder Him
and great opposition of the religious leaders and others Jesus remained
sinless, and faithful to God in fulfilling His ministry on earth.
Jesus
did not complain in His suffering. Jesus Christ trusted God and received the
benefits that comes out of remaining obedient, faithful and trusting in God.
Suffering through any difficulties for many is very difficult. Some question or
even get angry at God when they suffer. However, when Jesus Christ suffered: 1Pe 2:23 Who,
when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him
that judgeth righteously:
Jesus
Christ knew the suffering that God allowed for Him had no power to destroy Him,
but would serve God’s purposes: 1Pe 3:18
For
Christ also hath once suffered
for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to
death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
God
allows suffering in the lives of His people, just as He did in the life of His
Son Jesus Christ throughout His earthly ministry. None of it is ever to destroy
His people, instead great benefit is received through it: 1Pe 4:1 Forasmuch
then as Christ hath suffered for
us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from
sin;
1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath
called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect,
stablish, strengthen, settle you.
It
is dangerous to be biblically ignorant, especially in times of trials and
suffering. Suffering is a part of God’s plan within the package in our
salvation just as it was for the Son of God Jesus Christ. love serola
