Beloveds, we must clear up the lie that when the Lord told Joshua he would have good success through obeying the Law, that this was meant for Christians today. The Lord told this to Joshua that in obeying the Old Covenant of the Law God would give him success in conquering certain lands and taking these lands for the nation of Israel: Joshua 1: 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Also in keeping the Old Covenant of the Law, (which is all they had from God), he would not face the wrath of God and die as Aaron and Moses did for their disobedience to God in not keeping the Old Covenant of the Law: Num. 27: 12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

Moses never preached that the Old Covenant of the Law would make anyone permanently righteous in the sight of God. Here is the truth, preached by our Saviour Jesus Christ: Jhn 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

See Galatians 3, which explains God’s purposes for the Law; and how Jesus Christ has delivered us from it for all time. Feel free to study on your own the numerous verses that fully declare that Jesus Christ is the eternal Saviour and final sole source of eternal salvation for all time for all who believe in Him. See John 14:6.

Anyone willfully claiming salvation based on keeping the Old Covenant of the Law and/ or combining it with the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, or anything else is not considered a Christian according to the Bible.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the CURSE: for it is written, CURSED is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that NO MAN is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

          1Ti. 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

There are some things we must look at before we address those who falsely accuse Christians of approving and promoting slavery.

Brothers and sisters,  we know that the New Covenant of Jesus Christ is not about saving the secular world or unsaved people by healing the damage of their emotional hurts/brokenness, or the psychologically damaged through therapeutic programs, or through social programs or changing the world’s evils through a social revolution, although the Bible makes it clear that we should care for the oppressed and bound everywhere. Most certainly, after people are saved, healing on various levels and of various kinds is possible through the love of God and His people, whose very nature He changes to one of love and willing obedience to God.

Ultimately through Jesus Christ, the Bible gives mankind the only solution to its ills-SIN, stemming from the Adamic sin nature. The inherited sin nature, can never be healed, only put to death through faith in Jesus Christ alone who can forgive all sins and give the new birth of salvation to all who believe.

Many faithfully give the whole gospel message of the eternal truth of the love of God in sending His Son Jesus Christ to save any that will believe in Him. However, holy people, we know that there are some who misrepresent the gospel message and preach it as a secular “cure” for damaged emotions, addictions, a better life, to become a better person and/or to overcome their difficulties in life, without ever mentioning repentance of sinners, and the forgiving of all sins through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Worse yet are those who misrepresent the gospel as a way to attain a mere “personal relationship” with God. Those who misrepresent the gospel by preaching it in these ways are not preaching the true gospel that saves sinners, but a false gospel that saves no one; what results is a bunch of unsaved sinful, deceived people. It is extremely dangerous to ignore the truth of the trouble with all unsaved people originating in their own sin nature. Even worse is the danger of ignoring the gospel message of Jesus Christ the only cure.

Then, brethren, there is the alarming, lying  mantra of the secular world that “man is good”, that “man does not need God to be good”, as they nervously lock their doors, windows, cars etc. day and night with alarms and cameras for good measure.

Then, there are the star trekian dreams of mankind seeing itself united as one to conquer space, as they try to plot a course to the stars through the countless space junk they have left there with the names of the different nations who have left them; pass the mega weapons of war one nation points at the other knowing no war can be won, only payback to whoever strikes first, guaranteeing mutual destruction. Even some of their scientist admit that once men go to live in space freed from all earthly restraining laws that limit behavior, in the light of no perpetual sources of energy, they will at some point descend to madness and/or savagely destroy themselves.

Then there are the countless dreamers of utopia where mankind is united and all are joyfully, willfully equal and happy together, which ignores the civil and criminal penalties necessary to enforce any such notions, which many still do not obey.

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour has taken His people to His school of absolute truth and we well understand the Adamic sin nature of the natural man, from which He has saved and delivered us from. All through history when the natural man meets man his mouth purses and his nose wrinkles as though he is smelling something bad- the toxic to him maddening odor of “the other” who is not like him, or even if like him he will find a way to still see in him some type of “otherness” to destroy. When he does, he savagely fills the earth with the bondage and with the blood of “the other” whose only crime whether real or imagined is being “other” than himself in some way, shape or form.

Every so- called good thing done by mankind reeks with corruption and has no lasting value in curing the horrific, cruel, merciless inherited Adamic sin nature of mankind. All of mankind’s attempts to cure the evils of its own nature has been and always will be a disastrous failure.

God has put a code of expiration upon every human being born, and established His Son Jesus Christ, as mankind’s last chance to be saved from their horrific Adamic sin nature. He has given us His people the right, authority, and command to take His message to save all that we can before it is too late.

Dearly beloveds, it is against this backdrop that we by the power, authority and command given by God preach the gospel, and address every accusation against our Lord and only Saviour Jesus Christ.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Heb. 13: 3Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?  40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Act 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: G5438 but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

In light of scripture, brothers and sisters, we know that Christians were often imprisoned back then for their faith, and it continues now in many places. No doubt we should remember them, feel their pain too in our hearts and do our utmost to pray for, visit and help them all that we can. Again, it is evident that in the world Christians continue to suffer persecution and imprisonment today and no doubt in the future as well.

In America, holy people, while Christians are not imprisoned-YET for their faith, there can be no doubt they are being criminalized for their faith and suffer persecution even from the government. Christian shaming is explicitly public in the secular media, major corporations etc. against individual Christians/groups, even Christian companies. Any public mention of Jesus Christ is seen as “offensive” and “non-inclusive”, the Bible is banned from the public schools, and many colleges, universities, even private ones. Some employers forbid the display of the Bible in the work place by workers who might want to read it on their lunch break. To avoid problems many read it in their phones or other instruments. The secular movie industry is working over- time to present many movies in which the name of God is cursed outright and the name of our great Saviour is used as an epithet while Christians are demonized.

Nevertheless,  dearly beloveds, our care for those in prison or in bonds ought to extend to unsaved persons in prison, enslavement or captivity as well:  Phm 1:10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds.

The intent here when helping unbelievers in prison is not to start a mere social program of help and visitation, but in addition to witness to them that they might be saved.

How shall we address those who falsely claim that Christians approve of and promote slavery?

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Brothers and sisters, let us go on in the blessings of the treasury of the scriptures, to enjoy ourselves together with God in His everlasting eternal word.

Heb 13:  2Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Forgetful: to forget, neglecting, no longer caring for, forgotten, given over to oblivion, i.e. uncared for.

The intent here, brothers and sisters, is not to go around entertaining strangers in hopes of seeing an angel up close and personal but in the act of being hospitable to strangers, an angel might be among them UNAWARES.

Focus on UNAWARES: Unawares: to be hidden, to be hidden from one, secretly, unawares, without knowing.

The very heart of this verse, brethren, exhorts us to identify with and have continued compassion for strangers in need, or who have suffered adversity as we may have, or to help them as we would want to be helped  under similar circumstances: Mat 25:35 - For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: :

Exo 23:9 - Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Deu 10:19 - Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

The Hebrews suffered horribly as strangers in Egypt, however, brethren anyone who has undergone hardships, been friendless, endured maltreatment, abuse, treated poorly, been needy, should remember how they felt, and have compassion on those in need of help. It is good to help our families, and those we know, but we should still be compassionate to help those outside of our known circles.

Entertain strangers: to show love and give hospitality to strangers. However, God forbids his people to ever welcome any one and any stranger coming to us promoting any teachings not based on scripture:

Jhn 10:5 - And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Angels:  God created these spiritual beings; none are born of women and have greater power and might than any human being on this unredeemed earth. However, no angel ever has any power to be autonomous of God’s sovereign will and power; and are sent to execute His will. Directly, from this, holy people, we understand that God has never ceased to rule on the earth even as He does from heaven above, according to His sovereign will.

Angels assigned to children and His people: Mat 18:10 - Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Heb 1:14 - Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Here is what God promises directly to those who do or would harm them in any way: Mar 9:42 - And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Psa 104:4 - Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

    Mat 13:41 - The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Brothers and sisters, we know the Bible never promotes or has any teachings that we should put up a sign of “Angels welcome here”, or any doctrine of angel worship, seeking messages from angels, praying to angels, seeking angelic help; instead God commands that we pray directly to Him for His help, not indirectly seeking the help of angels. God alone is in charge of commanding the angels for His purposes, no mere human being will ever have such authority from God.

There are God’s angels and then, dearly beloveds, we know the devil can make himself look like an angel of light and has his evil angels which we are never to welcome or entertain:

2Co 11:14 - And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

I don’t want this to be a study within a study, feel free to study further on your own if you like with the understanding that Christians are protected from being possessed by the devil or any evil spirit, because God has taken permanent residency in every believer through the faith of His Son Jesus Christ. let us not be preoccupied, or meddle with the angels of any kind, suffice it to say that this is God’s business not ours. THE BOTTOM LINE REGARDING ANY ANGEL AS WELL AS CERTAIN STRANGERS:

Gal 1:8 - But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Heb 13: 1Let brotherly love continue.

A short exhortation, brothers and sisters, but said in the spirit that the Hebrew Christians did have it and must continue it, as everyone who claims the name of Jesus Christ is commanded to do as well, without any exception.

Brotherly love: the love of brothers (or sisters), brotherly love; in the NT the love which Christians cherish for each other as brethren; Romans 12:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; Hebrews 13:1; 1 Peter 1:22; 2 Peter 1:7, cf. 1 John 5:1.

Brothers and sisters, we know that the brotherly love the Bible declares is love fashioned in the eternal, boundary and everlasting standard of the final, finished unchanging truth of scripture nothing outside of it having any equal validity whatsoever.

Jhn 15:12 - This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Jhn 17:26 - And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Dearly beloveds, God’s love has eternal unchanging standards and boundaries: Rom 12:9 - Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

God’s love in Christ fulfills the law: Rom 13:8 - Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

God’s love harms no one: Rom 13:10 - Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

    God’s love is given in humility: Eph 4:2 - With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

God’s love is based only on the truth of scripture and can never be separated from its eternal truth. Truth without love is cruel destroying legalism, and love without biblical truth is a deceiving satanic lie. Eph 4:15 - But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Again, God’s love can never be separated from the truth: 1Pe 1:22 - Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

God’s love cannot contain evil actions and evil behaviors of any kind : 2Co 4:2 - But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

The love that God forbids: 1Jo 2:15 - Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

God’s love is not merely a said love: 1Jo 3:18 - My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

God’s  love is evidence of the new birth:      1Jo 4:7 - Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

God is the sole origin and source of love: 1Jo 4:10 - Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

God’s love is the final evidence and the final standard of truth of who has eternal life and who does not have eternal life: 1Jo 3:14 - We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Again, God’s love reveals those who belong to God from those who belong to the devil: 1Jo 3:10 - In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

For all that has been said here, the Bible goes on through out in more and greater detail. Love is more than a foot note to be manipulated to allow evil to flourish, and to distort the true eternal love of God to mask and promote evil, or to teach evil as anything but what God has declared it to be, evil, of the devil and those who belong to the devil’s kingdom.

Truth: the truth as taught in scripture, respecting God and the execution of his purposes through Christ, and respecting the duties of man, opposing alike to the superstitions of the Gentiles and the inventions of the Jews, and the corrupt opinions and precepts of false teachers even those who have secretly crept in among Christians

Subjectively, truth as a personal excellence ,that candor of mind which is free from affection, pretence, simulation, falsehood, deceit.

Love:  the love of God Himself who is love, given to and arising unfeigned out of the hearts of all those whom He indwells through faith in Jesus Christ: good will, love, benevolence, brotherly love, love feasts

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Heb 12: 29For our God is a consuming fire.

Consuming fire: Fire of such a cataclysmic magnitude of power that it utterly annihilates, destroys all and everything upon whom it is visited.

To the saints (G40 hagios), the intense penetrating and powerful fire of God is the friendly fire of the refiner that patiently, carefully cures burnishes, burns off the dross of the old nature, to produce the purity of the fine silver of the holiness of the new nature, but to the wicked it is the fire of intense violent wrath which utterly consumes the wicked as dross.

Brothers and sisters, according to the inerrant eternal truth and love of God the Father to all who have received the Son of God, He is the God of Peace to His people, no longer in the fearsome mount, but in the hearts, minds and spirits of all who believe in His only appointed Saviour, Jesus Christ.

God has shown from the beginning His absolute terrifying powers and His righteous fiery indignation against sin, in destroying unrepentant sinners in the flood, Sodom and certain of its surrounding cities, Egypt/Pharaoh etc. to teach us and all, that God still hates sin now exactly as He did then in His terrifying seismic  appearance in the mount before the children of Israel.

God made no exceptions then, brothers and sister, and God will make no exceptions now or ever. In fact, God will never compromise, deny, bow, agree, change, contract, blink, keep silent, look the other way or approve of sin period, regardless of whether a person is rich or poor so called high or low. This is God’s unchanging standard and boundary regarding sin for all time. God absolutely makes no promises of peace to His enemies, but absolute eternal damnation, condemnation, eternal punishment destruction and death.

With this kept consciously in our united mind, saints (G40 hagios), we know fully in absolute terms, understand in complete confidence, comfort and assurance of the Holy Spirit that His people, whomsoever will believe on His Son and Saviour, to all such God is the God of peace.

However, brethren, keep in remembrance that He never promises peace to His enemies; but everlasting damnation and eternal death and destruction.

Under God and in this everlasting truth of God the Father and God the Son Jesus Christ, we work patiently, confidently doing His will while we await His return as He most certainly will return.

All Christians are equal, dearly beloveds, although some have the greater responsibility such as church overseers, who are to be servant leaders not as Lords. We ought to love and support them consistently in their work and supply their needs in the work of the ministry.

We must think soberly, love one another and all men fervently, work together to be of one mind and heart in the unity of the gospel, admonishing, teaching, correcting, encouraging, and helping one another according to His word with fervent love for Him and one another, keeping conscience that: 1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Be wary holy people to defend the gospel and never join with any form of heresy including ecumenism: which is joining with non-Christians for any purpose, or joining with any group or persons that do not accept the whole of the Bible which sets the sole standard for only those who believe in and on Jesus Christ only are declared by God to be true Christians: Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Many, in error, call themselves Christians who carry special labels or claim it based on heretical extrabiblical doctrines, in fact all doctrines not found in scripture are heretic and straight from the devil:  2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

2Jo 1:9 - Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Be aware, holy people, that the secular media among others seek to criminalize Christianity, falsely claiming it discriminates.

When a reporter pushes the mike up to a Christian with the intent to shame them and accuse them of discrimination against certain groups, that Christian should look straight into the cameras, and state firmly:  Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Then if the reporter continues to assert that Christians discriminates the Christian must say:

1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Finally speak up and tell the reporter that he seems to think that Christianity is wrong, and should have no standards or boundaries for admission. Ask the reporter to call you when he/she leaves his/her house keys in front of their door so that anyone can enter in at will. In addition, ask them to call you when they give out press cards to the general public at will to have total access to press files, conferences, press clubs and associations. This is more than sufficient to address and defend against anyone else too,  who seeks to criminalize your faith in Jesus Christ.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Heb 12:28Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Receiving: to take to, to take with one's self, to join to one's self, to accept, acknowledge, not to reject, not to withhold obedience, to receive something transmitted.

    A. Serve: in the NT, to render religious service or homage, to worship

    B. to perform sacred services, to offer gifts, to worship God in the observance of the rites instituted for his worship

    i.of priests:( Rev 1:6, Rev 5:10, Rev 20:6),

ii. to officiate, to discharge the sacred office

Acceptably: quite agreeably: acceptably, + please well.

    Reverence: respect, honor, humility, awe.

Godly fear: in light of God, His great absolute authority, power and dominion over all creation as Creator above all created to properly, caution, i.e. (religiously) reverence (piety); by implication, dread (concretely):fear(-ed). To have great discretion in reverent correct address in attitude, and behavior as dependent on and to the One God who is Head/Sovereign Lord of the only eternal kingdom with all power who can kill and make alive at His will, who admits only the humble but forever bars the fool, and the irreverent.

    RELAX, GOD IS IN CONTROL

Nothing, saints (G40 hagios), absolutely nothing, no power, no man, no woman, no things, no creatures, even the devil himself, will ever move, shake, delay, destabilize, hinder, foil, or destroy the kingdom of God and His plans in coming to their complete fulfillment by His power.

In light of the eternal truth and love of the sole and only living God, Supreme universal Omnipotent Omniscient Omnipresent Potentate, Creator of all flesh, with total and absolute dominion over all things in heaven and earth who is eternal, unbeatable, unconquerable, undefeatable, and unlimited in power and might, we who have entrusted and believe in Him have His everlasting  rest love, truth, assurance, comfort and know by the Holy Spirit that to us He is the God of peace forever.

Being bulked up spiritually, encouraged and strengthened by God to the max, we His people knowing Him as the God of peace who lives in our hearts, minds and spirits keeping us forever by His Almighty power, well and cheerfully serve Him out of love, reverent fear, and according to His sovereign will, fervently bringing the gospel of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ so that people can be saved, just as others have been and we are, out of the midst of a wicked, perverse, corrupt and fallen world.

Heb 12: 26Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Once more: once, one time, once for all.

Shake: to violently to shake, agitate, cause to tremble, of men, to be thrown into a tremor, to quake for fear, metaph. to agitate the mind.

Jde 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

The God of absolute authority, unlimited seismic power, in wrath and fiery indignation of Mt. Sinai, will appear to thoroughly and completely destroy out of His kingdom all of His enemies on earth. This will include wicked individuals who might avoid detection by men, but cannot ever be hidden from the eyes of God who promote false religious systems, and doctrines of deception and of the devil.

Wicked nations shall be brought to nothing, not one building in them will be left standing. Men who with one mind congregate and work together in evil collusion to form powerful systems of evil to enslave, gain riches, murder the righteous, and even use sorcery to deceive men shall be punished as one together such as the city of Babylon a type of such city.

In addition, the carnal religious “dynasty” shall be done away with, such as that system of the Law that men were authorized by God to serve in the nation of Israel based upon lineage which had only a limited temporary purpose, until the revealing of the Saviour Jesus Christ, who has completely fulfilled the Law in the New Covenant.  Heb 7:16; Heb 9:10

Many of the wicked are and will be detected by God’s people, however, again, only God’s eyes will see the wicked who have attached themselves to the righteous and who appear so closely like them that only He can detect them and safely sever them to be punished and taken out  from amongst His people without harming the truly righteous. Luk 3:17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

Mat 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

Brothers and sisters, God just as He promised will most certainly shake the heavens itself as well:

2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

God will remove from heaven itself evil spirits, evil angels, and even the devil himself, and cast them into the lake of fire, along with death and hell:  Rev 6:13 -14;Rev 6;  Rev 12:8-12; .

Dearly beloveds, God’s people have nothing to fear, instead brothers and sisters God comforts and assures His people: 2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Judgment has already begun in the house of God; however, no Christian will stand in eternal condemnation before the great white throne to receive everlasting punishment only the wicked will appear here to receive eternal damnation based on their evil works, as they have rejected the only source of salvation able to redeem people from all their sins. The wicked will be judged as guilty of eternal death, but the righteous will receive eternal life and rewards for their works:

Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

The people of God are ordained to be victorious through the power of Jesus Christ the Lord of power: Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The bottom line, saints (G40 hagios), when God finishes His shaking only His kingdom and His people will be left standing for all eternity.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Heb 12: 25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

The meaning of the above verse, brothers and sisters, means that just as for, example, most countries carefully teach the people for their safety, well-being, and understanding, the paradigm, model, rules, laws, or standards and boundaries that govern the behavior, conduct, and lives of the people within them; the willful violation of which are met with unavoidable, irrevocable punishment including loss of freedom, death, or ejection from that country; we know, Brothers and sisters, that God labors much more to teach His people in His eternal kingdom, to fully grasp the doctrine of the gospel of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ.

He teaches us in eternal absolute terms from His word that He never gives anyone an excuse, option or authority to willfully and unrepentantly turn away from Him in any way shape, manner or form whatsoever, which prevents us from being tempted in ignorance to think otherwise. Nor are we foolish or blind to the truth that those who do willfully and unrepentantly turn away from God, are in no wise true Christians, but were always enemies, false from the beginning of their entry amongst us.

Just as no man escaped death under two or more witnesses when they violated the Law of Moses the man of God on earth, the punishment is far greater for those on earth who willfully unrepentantly violate the commands from God, sovereign Lord who speaks directly to us with all authority from heaven in the New Covenant gospel of Jesus Christ. God regards all who willfully, unrepentantly turn away from Him as His enemies, and none shall escape His hand of retribution, fiery indignation and wrath.

The Bible gives many examples of such persons, especially since they are not just walking away peacefully, but become enemies of the cross in word and deed:  Mat 13:25- 39; Act 20:30-31; Rom 1:18- 32; Gal 1: 6 -9; Phl 3:18-19; 2Pe 2:1; Jde 1:4.

None, let it be said repeatedly, dearly beloveds, who turn away from Him willfully and unrepentantly will ever be excused by God: Rom 1:20 - For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Brothers and sisters God is not unmerciful, and we all participate in aiding one another to correctly comprehend the gospel message. Certainly, we find some brothers and sisters, who although they are very sincere, err through ignorance in their interpretation, and belief of the inerrant truth of  scripture. We do not excuse them but God encourages us who are sound in the gospel: 2Th 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Here again God encourages us to help such:

Jas 5:19 - Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 - Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Err: to go astray from the truth, wander, roam about.

Converteth: to cause to return, to bring back, to the love and obedience of God, to love wisdom and righteousness.

Gal 6:1 - Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Fault: to fall beside or near something; a lapse or deviation from truth and uprightness; a sin, misdeed.

Are spiritual: one who is filled with and governed by the Spirit of God.

Restore: to render, i.e. to fit, sound, complete; to mend (what has been broken or rent), to repair; to complete; to fit out, equip, put in order, arrange, adjust to fit or frame for one's self, prepare, ethically: to strengthen, perfect, complete, make one what he ought to be.

Such an one: such as this, of this kind or sort; truly this, i.e. of this sort (to denote character or individuality):-like, such (an one).

    Obviously, holy people God has set limits to our efforts to lovingly correct any one claiming to be a brother or sister to turn back to the truth of the gospel message: Tit 3:10 - A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

We cannot argue people into believing the truth. God commands us to move on to help others instead of continuing to waste time with those proven to be heretics who are corrupt and reject the truth of scripture.

The whole of the church, brethren, is commanded to be perfect. Not in any sense of never making mistakes or over coming sins, we know how God wants us to deal with these;  but in the sense of that spiritual perfection in being grounded, rooted, of one body and mind in the truth of the doctrine of the gospel of Jesus Christ, to please God, know His will by His word, and be impervious to being taken advantage of by the tricks, schemes, deceptions, plans, plots, and heresies of the wicked, and the devil.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Before we get to the interpretation of Heb. 12:25, brothers and sisters,  it is necessary to look at what this verse absolutely does not mean.

Saints (G40 hagios), we know the aforementioned verse (Heb 12: 25)  is absolutely not claiming salvation to mean as some falsely teach that Christians can or will fall away, be lost and go to hell, for we know it is absolutely impossible for God to lie; therefore, we rest securely in the scriptures that He has absolutely declared before in these passages and many more than I can put here,  starting with the words of Jesus Christ our Saviour Himself:

Jhn 6:54 - Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jhn 10:28 - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Jhn 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 - For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Rom 8:1 - There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Note the word IF never appears in this verse because walking and life in the Spirit can only be attained through faith in Jesus Christ, not human will or efforts).

    Condemnation: damnatory sentence, condemnation. Romans

    5:16; 5:18.

Rom 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Heb 9:12 - Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Eternal: without end, never to cease, everlasting.

1Jo 3:9 - Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 Jhn 5: 4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 Jhn 5: 18We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Luk 5:38 - But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

Brothers and sisters, I want to add the correct interpretation of 1 John 1: 9 in the true context of the scriptures: Christ’s blood cleanses all who believe from ALL SIN FOR EVER, the ALL IN THIS VERSE REALLY MEANS ALL, NOT SOME LEFT OVER FOR THE BELIEVER TO KEEP BEGGING GOD FOR FORGIVENESS, ALREADY OBTAINED THROUGH THE FINAL FINISHED WORK OF SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST THE SOLE SAVIOUR. The believer is not a co-saviour responsible for working to get forgiven. I know most of us know this, but some do not.

1 Jhn 1: 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If Jesus left us work to do regarding cleansing our sins, then it would mean IN ERROR His gift of salvation is not free, seeing we still have to pay something in our labors for it. The plain eternal and absolute truth is that praise God through Jesus Christ  we are given salvation as a gift, not a partial down payment.

Common sense, holy people, tells us if somebody claimed to give us a gift and then asks for payment we would know they lied because you don’t pay for gifts, if you do it is not a gift. Our salvation is a gift, to claim it is not is grave error. Anyone thinking this way should repent and come believing and receiving the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

    JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

    OUR JOURNEY IN HEBREWS

Heb 12: 25See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

See that ye:  have (the power of) understanding: to discern mentally, observe, perceive, discover, understand; to turn the thoughts or direct the mind to a thing, to consider, contemplate, to look at, to weigh carefully, examine:

    A. to perceive by the senses, to feel

    B. to discover by use, to know by experience

Refuse: to refuse, decline, reject; to shun, avoid.

Of one excusing himself for not accepting a wedding invitation to a feast: Luk 14:18 - And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

Not: οὐ ou, oo; a primary word; the absolute negative, never.

Escaped not: meaning there is absolutely no escape at all possible from the avenging hand of God for all who willfully and unrepentantly turn away from Him.

    A. Heb 6:4 - For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, - And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6- If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Turn away: to turn one’s allegiance away from any one; to defect; desert, to turn one's self away, turn back, to turn one's self away from.
