THERE ARE NO MORE PROPHETS TODAY

(The office of the human prophets has ended)

Brothers and sisters, we must go to the book of Hebrews to fully comprehend what God declares regarding Jesus Christ as being the sole Prophet today that was preached before by Moses. It is in Hebrews, saints (G4 0hagios) as in so much of scripture that God presents a stunning multidimensional intricate, and intimate portrait of His Son Jesus Christ as fully man, fully God, Suffering Servant, Prophet, Saviour, High Priest, and King. Here is God’s heart laid bare in revealing His love for the Son, and what a great and perfect Son Jesus Christ is indeed.

God, the father through Hebrews lays out in breathtaking exquisite detail the love, compassion, sufferings, power, faithfulness of His Son in doing all things well for the Father and for His children. Therefore, we cannot fail to comprehend that every accolade that can be given by all men and every creature belongs to the Son as to the Father also.

THERE ARE NO MORE PROPHETS TODAY

(The office of the human prophets has ended)

Brothers and sisters, some might say, are we to ignore the prophets of old? The very fact that some might ask this indicates a lack of understanding that none of the prophets had the power nor permission to speak for God on their own: 2Pe 1:21 - For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. All human prophets only had a limited knowledge and could only give prophesy in part. 1Co 13:9 - For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

The work of the apostles and prophets was completed after they laid the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ for the church: Eph 2:19 - Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Eph 2:20 - And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

Eph 2:21 - In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

Eph 2:22 - In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the perfect Prophet of God, who alone is ordained to speak for God in these last days.

Jesus Christ who is fully man and fully God speaks without error the mind, work and will of God for all time directly to all men. None of the prophets were able to speak from the advantage of being always and eternally joined with God the Father. This is why there is no further need for prophets, Jesus Christ, is the perfect and only Prophet for all eternity, who has the entire message and testimony of the gospel message without error from beginning to ending.

Dearly beloveds, some may think the following verses contradict the eternal truth that Jesus Christ alone remains the sole Prophet for all time. However, the following verses do not conflict in any way or manner with Jesus Christ being the sole Prophet of the last days, as we shall see. Rom 12:6 - Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

1Co 12:10 - To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

The aforementioned verses do not re-establish the office of the human prophets. The gift of prophesy is the ability given at the discretion of the Holy Spirit to  members in the body, not as an office, but as a tool for certain purposes to the body: to teach, encourage, refute, reprove, admonish, comfort others. In fact all may prophesy-as the Spirit gives utterance. All prophesy must be in line with scripture otherwise it is forbidden by God to accept it. 

Evidence of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit: Act 2:17 - And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

In no case do any of these verses re-establish the office of the human prophet. Feel free to study this further on your own.

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy given to the world to save all who believe in and on Him. ( See Rev 19:10 )

Therefore, all Christians are absolutely commanded to live, preach and teach in the body and to the whole world continually, that salvation is solely through faith in Jesus Christ alone, the only appointed Saviour for all who believe and boldly declare that: Act 4:12 - “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Brothers and sisters, how can anyone say this in light of the scriptures?

1Co 12:28 - And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Eph 4:11 - And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Of course, there are numerous examples of prophets in the New Covenant church along with the apostles.

Yet, Moses preached that God was going to raise up a different and new kind of prophet, superior to all the others. The Jewish people frequently rebelled against the prophets and were punished but never destroyed as a whole. However, God would absolutely destroy all and any person who would rebel and refuse to obey this new prophet to come which is Jesus Christ: Mat 5:17 - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Jhn 1:45 - Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Act 3:22 - For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Act 3:23 - And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Anyone refusing to obey this Prophet to come would face certain inescapable and absolute destruction, without remedy. This rules out and prevents the error of seeing Jesus Christ as merely the chief Prophet of the prophets.

We shall see later on that this in no way contradicts  1Co 12:28 nor Eph 4:11.

Holy people all of this apostasy and heresy is leading up to THE GREAT FALLING AWAY when the heretics will no longer attempt to camouflage their raging vehement hatred of God but will come out openly in shameless public flagrant violent malice to join with THE MAN OF SIN ALLIED WITH SATAN, who will boldly blaspheme God and declare himself god, and seek to defeat God and His people, (howbeit in vain).

ONE WAY SALVATION-THROUGH JESUS CHRIST ALONE APPOINTED BY GOD AS THE ONLY SAVIOUR

Brothers and sisters, the Bible has not left us ignorant as to the meaning of the ever-growing numbers of fake false denominations, and false religions doctrines of salvation.

Those seeking to turn people away from the truth of the gospel started as a mere trickle when the gospel was first preached, one of many examples is: Act 13:8 - But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation ) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.

 Now all of these evil perversions of salvation have become an ever- swelling cacophony of false denominational salvation, among other false doctrines of salvation that have gone through the roof and into the outer depths of space so to speak.

They are all of satanic origins and carried out by evil persons whose goal is to turn away people from the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Brethren let us keep in mind that the good news is that some will still be saved out of apostasy. This is the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and we are greatly encouraged to keep living and preaching the word of God until the very end.

Conversely, there will be those who will resist the Holy Spirit and be damned although they know and have heard the truth of the eternal and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ, Saviour and Lord.

Dearly beloveds, let us also be wary of those who preach the lie that since their denominations, religious doctrines etc. have most of the doctrines of salvation, this is sufficient for them to be saved. This lie is propagated by  fake religious teachers and scholars, that any body’s fake doctrine, religion, denomination is good enough if it contains almost all of the truth of the Bible. Thank God for the faithful pastors, church leaders and body general that continually put out the truth: GOD DOES NOT GRADE ON A CURVE, WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT IF IT IS NOT THE WHOLE GOSPEL TRUTH OF JESUS CHRIST, IT IS NEITHER THE GOSPEL NOR TRUTH AT ALL. THERE ARE NO CO- REDEMPTORS/REDEMPTRIXES: THERE IS NO SALVATION BY OR THROUGH WATER BAPTISM, OR ANY OTHER ADDITIONS OR SUBTRACTIONS FROM SALVATION. ALL WHO BELIEVE ARE SAVED THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE, AND NEVER BY ANY WORKS THAT WE HAVE DONE.

2 Ti 4:  2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Jde 1:23 - And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

I know I am among the multitudes that thank our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for the perseverance of the saints (G40 hagios) and I thank God for that Christian who told me the truth and through the gospel turned me away from a false denomination to Jesus Christ who saved me, made me a new creature in Him and gave me eternal life.

Jhn 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Act 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
