Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV

    The Comforter

When the disciples were confused about Jesus departure and needed reassurance, Jesus promised when He left He would send a Comforter who would be with them always. How great to know that the Holy Spirit dwells in our hearts to bring comfort and reassurance to each of Gods children. No matter what problem we face today, whether it is the loss of a loved one, sickness, a family problem, or just loneliness, We know that Gods Spirit who came to dwell with us in our new birth will offer solace. We are not alone. We can call upon the Comforter.>>And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever. John 14:16

    A New Heart

When we accept God’s gift of salvation. He gives us new hearts. There are many times as we walk along with the Lord Jesus when we may need additional heart surgery. To replace indifference we need soft hearts cold hearts need to be replaced with warm hearts. We also need Gods tender touch to heal our broken hearts. And sometimes we need a little nourishment for our tired , discouraged hearts. before and after surgery we sometimes feel a vulnerable state. We have no control over the hospitals timetable. We are thankful for whatever the doctors can do to help. So we follow the doctor’s directions so we can be released from the hospital. That’s how it is when we wait on the great Physician to encourage and strengthen our hearts. We are sick at heart and shouild turn every thing over to Him. We should thank Him for what He is doing. Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD

    Kind Words

The time it takes to speak unkind and malice words is the time it can take to destroy someone. Words spoken that harms or hurts someone are sometimes worse than doing bodily harm to them. A tongue is as sharp as a two edged sword it can cut you to pieces with one stroke. We should always consider the consequences of what we are saying. The Bible teaches we should  bridle our tongues. in other words if we can’t say something good or kind we shouldn’t say anything at all..James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. [KJV]

    Being Right vs Doing Right

With each new day, we find ourselves bewildered as we stumble down the road of life trying determine lies from the truth. This is not an easy process, but we remain determined, because we know that following Christ keeps us from falling all over ourselves. There was a time before we are saved that we are more interested in being right than doing right. Right standing before the Lord means to stand before Him with all our faults, as well as our virtues, and to hear the message of our acceptability. This will enable us to rise beyond the need to pretend and help us to walk in integrity before the Lord… Hosea encouraged people to walk in the ways of the Lord , for those ways are right. For the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. Hosea 14: 9b.

    The Final Answer

Bumper stickers cry out through the traffic, “Jesus is the answer,” and people jokingly shout back, “but what is the question?” They know the question it’s as old as time. It’s never been hidden. They just don’t want to ask about it. “What does God require of me?” that is the question. Micah was given the answer at the end of the age of the Old Testament law, maybe because by then it was obvious the answer was not being heard. “Here, Micah,’ the Lord said, while addressing all of us ”is what I require of man: Be fair, love one another, and love me. Is that to hard?” It’s such a simple question isn’t it? God has shown us what is good and what He requires of us. And the answer is the same today as it was then, simple , profound, obvious, and straight forward: “Love me, and love your brother.” Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

    Jesus is the answer.
