The Wonder Of The Day
Where did this day come from? It came from God because it” is the day that the Lord Has made”. Psalm 118:24. And God didn’t make this day for us to waste. We can choose to be sad, or we can choose to be mad; but God wants us to choose to be glad. How can we take advantage of the gift of another day? By enjoying it! Many people don’t think of Christianity as enjoyable, but that’s because they just don’t get it. Although hardships and disappointment may assault us every day, as God’s children we can still choose to rejoice every day. To rejoice when we are hurting is difficult. However when we turn to God, rejoice in Him and His day, we can’t help but discover a measure of joy. Seek the wonder of today!

Light Of The World
The Light of the World (1853–54) is an allegorical painting by William Holman Hunt representing the figure of Jesus preparing to knock on an overgrown and long-unopened door, illustrating Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me”. According to Hunt: “I painted the picture with what I thought, unworthy though I was, to be by Divine command, and not simply as a good subject.” The door in the painting has no handle, and can therefore be opened only from the inside, representing “the obstinately shut mind”. Hunt, 50 years after painting it, felt he had to explain the symbolism. [Source Wikepedia]. I wonder how many has viewed this potrait and didn’t notice that there was no door handle?. Only when we open the door to our heart can Jesus come in.

Act With Compassion
A young Buddhist who had made a careful study of Christianity told a Christian friend, Your Christ is wonderful , oh so wonderful; but you Christians are not like Him. One of the Christians greatest needs is to be more like Christ in both attitude and actions. Paul recognized that people have disagreements and urged them to act with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and forgiveness. If we will love others unconditionally, we should be able to implement the actions Paul listed. Doing so will honor Christ, improve our own dispositions, create peace with others, and serve as a wonderful witness to the world. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Colossians 3:13

The Blessed Nation
Our nation has been blessed beyond measure because Americas founders, acting on faith, drafted a constitution based on biblical values to form a unique government of , by, and for the people. An 1892 supreme court decision stated, “Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon… the teachings of The Redeemer of mankind…this is a Christian nation”. Abraham Lincoln spoke of the duty of nations and individuals to recognize ’” the sublime truth announced in Holy Scriptures…that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.” Today our country is drifting on a tide of secular humanism that has destroyed many powerful nations in the past. What can we do about it? God would give us the same answer He once gave Israel: ” If my people humble themselves, and pray… seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear… forgive their sin, and will heal their land [2 Chorn.7:14] Blessed is the nation whose God is their LORD. Psalm 33:12a

Something To Count On
There is not many people are things we can count on these days. We can’t count on many politicians, very few doctors, not to many friends especially when it comes to money. Even some religious leaders may let us down. The lust of the world, money, and other things come before what is really important. Love for one another and love for Jesus. Also the promise of eternal salvation. That is something we can all be sure of and count on..Ephesians 5:2 and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.
