The Problem With Sin
Sin is so easy to do and so hard to avoid. That’s why it is
so remarkable to find someone who does what’s right when there is every reason
not to. I heard a story about a taxi driver in New York
city who drove a woman through Manhattan and received a 30 cent tip. Later
when he put another passengers luggage in the trunk he found that the woman had
left her suitcase. The suitcase contained rings worth more than $30,000. He and
a supervisor tracked down the woman and returned her diamonds. The driver was quoted
in the New York Daily News saying “Why would I think I could keep it? it wasn’t
mine” Many of us would have struggled to make that decision. Paul admits that
he had the same struggles. While that’s comforting it is not a solution. Jesus
said there’s no such thing as an insignificant sin. Sin requires a Savior. While
we should never minimize the problem of sin, we should never forget the power
of the Savior Jesus Christ over sin.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I
would not, that I do. Romans 7:19

The Word Works
Call me a skeptic, but I doubt the claims of most commercials. I wonder if any of the products live up to the promises. Fortunately, in one area you don’t have to take the word of any person. You can experience the truth of Gods words for yourself. As you read the Bible, the Word works! Gods promises are true. For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe 1Thessalonians 2:13 (New King James Version)

Only Bread?
Jesus teaches us that we are to hunger for the greatest meal that anyone could ever have. What is this meal?. It is only bread. But it is the most filling of any that we could ever have. Jesus said in these scriptures. John 6:33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Crown Of Life
No cross no crown. This phrase captures both the
heart of Christ’s suffering and His subsequent exaltation. Jesus didn’t deserve
the crown of thorns placed on His head, but He received it and endured the
cross to provide eternal life for all who believes. As followers of Christ, if
we endure the temptations of this life and pass through the trials before us
with faithfulness,, James tells us that we will receive the crown of life.
Staggering is the thought that He who bore a thorny crown of death would place
upon us a brilliant crown of life. Yet the Lord has promised this to those who
love Him.
James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having
stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has
promised to those who love him.

The Happy Life
The eye is possibly the most amazing organ in the body. The pictures it takes on the retina from vibrations of light are so adequate that we forget what we see is merely an image and not actually the world outside us. Therefore, saying we see God is only a hint of the experience of the pure in heart. The pure in heart have a more vivid sense than physical eyesight. Yet how can poor mortal ever be pure in heart? It is possible when the one poor in spirit sees his own sinfulness, when he mourns his condition, when he trust Christ for forgiveness and cleansing. Then God is the one who makes the change from impurity to purity. The purity is a gift. Then comes the blessedness of seeing God: consciousness of His presence, realization of His character, blessed assurance of His love and care, communion with Him through the Holy Spirit. Best of all the assurance that we shall one day see His face. (Rev 22:4) Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8

Under Stress?
When we are under stress, we need to spend time praising God. When we can worship Jesus, God in the midst of difficult circumstances we display our faith in the goodness of God and our spirits are calmed. You can’t praise God and be troubled and worried at the same time! Sometimes there is nothing we can do or we’ve already done it all. Then we wait. We keep on holding on. We keep taking one step at a time. Waiting on God should be a habit, it is how we learn to know God. Under stress it is what will give us the strength to go on rather than turn back. “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.” [Heb. 12:2-3, NKJV]

Tired and Weary
People today seem to be so beat down by the everyday struggles of life. They seem to so tired and weary. It’s so bad that it has brought on a new illness called chronic fatigue syndrome. There are hundreds of thousands of people who suffer from this disease of our time. Doctors can do little about the problem if you suffer from it. About all they can do is give you some sleeping pills and muscle relaxers, but that doesn’t solve the problem it only hides it.There is however a cure for it and we can find it in the Bible. Jesus says this in Matthew 11:28-30 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Jesus is calling all those who are laboring and heavy laden and He promises rest to those who respond.

You Can’t Hide From God!
Everywhere all over the world today there are people who are not in church For whatever reason they choose not to frequent the church on a regular occasion and its sad, but some choose not to frequent church at all. Some say I can find God out in the woods, or down on the river. First and foremost, its a well kept secret, but I want to let you know,God is not Lost, He is always willing to be found! If you were to look for Him however, you wouldn’t have to go out in the woods, or on the river to find Him.For you see, .the Bible says He’s as close as the mention of His Name, Proverbs 18:24 . A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Psalm 139:7 Where can I go from Your Spirit?Or where can I flee from Your presence?
