Be Ready
Although no one knows when the Lord will return. Each of us must
prepare for our meeting with the Lord we cannot borrow this from
another. Nor can we wait till the last minute to prepare for His return.
No we don’t know when Christ will return. But we know we are going to
meet Him either when we die or when He returns. Let us make sure we are
ready.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:13- KJV

Gifts from God
Technology, we are awed by it, depend on it, and revel in it. How
wonderful to communicate with loved ones on the other side of the world
via the internet. How convenient to use a debit card to get currency
from a personal bank account. And what remarkable miracles are preformed
by medical science! There is nothing wrong with benefiting from
technological marvels so long as we regard them as gifts from God rather
than replacements for God. We must never forget that God alone is our
salvation.
Matthew 6:21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Welcome Presence
It’s not at all difficult to maintain the illusion that God is a
welcome presence in one’s life. Maintaining that illusion might involve
just putting up some ” God Bless Our Home” signs, displaying a fish on
the car, carrying a Bible, or perhaps collecting recordings of gospel
music. But these are only symbols. While the Holy Spirit does not
abandon Christians, Christians can ignore God. An abiding, strengthening
assurance of the Lords presence grows out of continuing dialogue with
Him.
Romans 5:5 This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has
been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to
us. [HCSB]

Finding Truth
Discerning spiritual things can sometimes be very hard. In
spiritual things a person may sound right, but when tested against
Scripture, the words are hollow and untruthful. How do we find this
truth? We find truth in God’s Spirit and not the spirit of this world.
1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. [KJV]

Refuge in God
The God who is eternal is our refuge. In these days of
uncertainty He will protect and shelter all believers. He will carry us
through all life’s battles and defeat the enemies we might face just as
He protected Israel as they entered the promised land. Those same
everlasting arms are ready to sustain everyone no matter what you face.
He will protect all who will trust in Him. The eternal God is your refuge,And underneath are the everlasting
arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you,And will say,
‘Destroy!’ Deuteronomy 33:27

Living Faith
We obviously need to place our faith in Jesus Christ when we
accept Him as Lord and Savior. Having done so, the things we say and do
will show how genuine our faith truly is. Jesus said, “If you love me,
keep my commandments” [John 14:15]. When we love someone, do we have to
stop and think about doing something to express our love? Not really. We
spontaneously find ways to show our love. The key to living faith is to
express it in tangible ways.
James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Love for All
Jesus told His followers to love their enemies and pray for those
who mistreat them. We must love all people regardless. Jesus died that
all who believe in Him might live not just the ones we choose. This
means people who have wrongly done harm to us in some way, or for
whatever reason they may make it hard to love them. However we must
love them. We don’t have to love their ways but we love their souls:
praying for them always.
1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [
KJV]
