Follow Jesus
The Apostle Peter knew the reality of suffering for Christ. He had experienced the vibrant birth of the church and witnessed its daily growth only to see it scattered in the wake of persecution. Remembering Christs promise of such injustice..Matt. 5:11..Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and lay all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.....Peter understood that salvation was free and that discipleship carried a great price. In light of Christs suffering, Peter considered believers' suffering to be a privilage-- an opportunity to walk in Jesus steps..Have we commited ourselfs to follow Christ regardless of the cost? Thank God today for the privilage of sharing in Christ's suffering, and daily ask for strength to glorify Him as we endure....For even hereunto were ye called; because Christ also sufferd for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. 1 Peter 2:21....

In A Spirit Of Humility
And preached, saying There comes one mighter than I after me the latchet of whos shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. MARK 1:7....Sometimes when we try to be the best, we're often dismayed to find there is always someone smarter more successful than we are, so we become discouraged , dissapointed that we are second place.--second best. John the Baptist understood second place, following Jesus, who was his superior in every way. His lifes purpose was to prepare the way for Jesus. Yet he never viewed his role as second best. Rather, he understood the honor of an unworthy servant being chosen for such a task. What fulfilment and freedom he found in humility. We too can find fulfilment by faithfully following Jesus and being content in our God given tasks, even though they may not seem as important as others tasks. We need to humbly submit to Jesus and experience His freedom and fullfilment, and be happy in what we do.

BY WORSHIPING HIM
And when they were come into the house, they saw a young child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshiped him; and when they had opened their treasures, they presented them gifts; gold and frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:11....There was nothing convenient about whe wise men's worship. they traveled many miles, made countless inquiries , and followed His star faithfully because the King was worthy of their devotion. throughly prepared with gift in hand, they were surprised only by the glory of His presence; and they fell in adoration before Him. Lets all worship our Lord and Savior this Christmas. And if your church has a worship service, make it convenient to attend and worship Him. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND MAY GOD BLESS.

Shepherds Making Known The Good News
And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning the child. Luke 2:17......Jesus often referred to Himself as the shepard , one who cares for his sheep. He knew his sheep and they knew Him.Sheep depend on their shepherds for protection , and provision. Jesus was called the Lamb of God. It was no coincidence that shepherds was chosen as the first to know of Christ's birth. The shepherds heard and believed the good news. and they rushed to Bethlehem to see the Savior whos birth was announced . They did not keep the news to themselves, and they weren't afraid to share it. They hurried about the town telling everyone about the miracle born that night. Though we may have read the good news story over and over, we need to share the good news with lost people this Christmas...

Mary Blessed By Gods Grace
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou who art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among woman. Luke 1:28. Lots of books and songs have been written about Mary the mother of Jesus. Many stories have been told, and many girls have been named after her. Schools and hospitals have been named in her honor. She's been praised and worshiped, and talked about through the ages. But one of the best gifts she left to the world is her humility in accepting Gods grace. How does this relate to us today? The story of Jesus birth is a story of Gods grace to all of us.We are all recipients of Gods grace. The true gift is the one that is pleasing to God and comes from Him because of Gods grace. With Jesus as the greates gift, then we must accept that Jesus' coming is the greatest example of Gods grace. Mary knew firsthand Gods grace...

JOSEPH JUST OBEYING
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife. Matthew 1:24...Joseph set a good example of being just and obeying the laws.He obeyed God's messenger and excepted Mary as his beloved wife, and thus, was part of the greatest event the world has ever known---The birth of our Saviour The Lord Jesus Christ. When we obey God, we are co laborers with every Christian who shares the Christmas story; and God includes us in His salvation plan. Let us share the Christmas story with everyone. And tell of the greatest event that has ever happened the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

THE PROMISED SAVIOUR
Therfore the Lord
himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall concieve, and bear
a son and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14....... When issues
or relationships are supremlely significant in our lives, we should be
on fire regarding those priorities and no one is more importent to us
than God. God is passionate about our relationships with Him. We are
His top priorities. He proved His love by sending the promised saviour,
the Lord Jesus Christ. He cared for us so much that He became Immanuel,
God with us"... Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring
forth a Son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel. which being
interpreted is God with us. Matthew 1:23....So now its our turn .
Shouldnt we be passoinate for God after all He's done for us? Lets be
on fire for our Lord.

ANYTIME HE CALLS
And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. Mark 1:18. Simon and Andrew lived in a slow paced world. Few things happened instantly. Yet when Jesus called them to decipleship, they immediately left their home, family, and occupation to follow Him without question or hesitation. they didn't ask for a more convenient time. Jesus had spoken they had understood, and they responded in complete and immediate obediance. Jesus still calls deciples today to follow Him no matter what age you are or where you come from. I am proud to be a follower of Christ. More so now than ever we need Christ's leadership and guidance. We need to ask Christ to renew His call on our life today. There will never be a more convenient time to obey Jesus.

Holiday Christmas
As we come upon Christmas, the time of the year that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. We always have the same thing, some want to take Christ out of Christmas. We here, happy holiday, or have a great holiday season. How does this sound? I have a beautiful holiday tree, we are having a holiday get together. What are you having for holiday dinner? I have my presents under the holiday tree. Thats a beautiful holiday carol, I sure am getting a lot of holiday cards this year, Merry holiday and so on. The thing is we need to let it be known that we as Christians have as much right to celebrate Jesus's birthday as any others have to celebrate their religious believes. Yes it offends me when Christ is taken out of Christmas. If Christ is offencive to anyone then I'm sorry. Christians every where should Shout a very loud Merry Christmas. And show that we are proud to be a Christian. And a follower of Christ... And the angel said unto them, fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:10

ENDURE TEMPTATION
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is tried, he shall recieve the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them who love him..James1:12....James was encourageing Christians, who were tempted to give in, to hang in there, He reminded them that they too would have a reward coming if they would endure the temptation and persecution of the present age. As we deal with the pressures and temptations , of life today we need to remember that we have a reward awaiting us that is better than any temporary pleasure this world has to offer. The greatest gift of all time the birth of Jesus, and the gift of eternal salvation.

Walk After The Spirit
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Romans 8:1... In Romans 8:1, Paul encourages us not to follow the wrong things in Life, But encourages us to always walk after the things of the spirit. Today we need to take a good look at what or whom we are following. There is so much going on, that it might be easy to turn in the wrong direction. We have to be careful and choose to turn our back on the flesh trust in God, and walk after the spirit.

THE GREAT GIFT
The great gift that God has given us is being able to call on His name, and by his loving grace we are saved through faith. And the blood that Jesus shed being crucified on the cross, and died for our sins, that whosoever should call on his name would not perish but have everlasting life. What a great gift. Ephesians 2:4-8 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us.5-Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickend us together with Christ [by grace ye are saved.] 6-And hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.7-That in the ages to come he might shew the exceding riches of his grace in his kingdom toward us through Christ Jesus.8- For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselfs: it is the gift of God. Praise God for this great gift.
