Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV

    PRAISE

Psalms 150: 1 Praise ye the Lord. praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in the firmament of his power.

:2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according his excellent greatness. :3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with psaltery and harp.:4 Praise him with timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.:5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals; praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.:6 Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.   I just wont to praise the Lord for all that He has given me. the beautiful fall colors the air we breath the sky the stars the moon the sun. everything that we enjoy on this earth God has given to us. And as beautiful as our Lord made earth I can't imagine what heaven will be like. And I know if we trust in Jesus and believe, that some day we will find out. Praise to our heavenly Father

    THE GOOD AND THE BAD

I was reading in Romans. and what Paul says in chapter 7:14-21 is why no one can be perfect, no matter how we try to live a perfect life we can't. V 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal sold under sin. 15 For that which I do allow not; for what I would that do I not but what I hate that I do. 16  If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that is good.17 Now then it is no more I that do it: but sin that dwelleth in me.18 For I know that in me (that is in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing; for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not; but evil that I would not that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth within. What Paul was saying was it is a lot easier to do the things that we know not to do than to do the things we should do. But I thank God we have a mediator so that when we do sin unwillingly or we fall short of the way Jesus wants us to live we can get forgivness through His grace.

    Zac-chae'-us

Luke19:4-8 Zac-che'-us was a very rich man a politician in todays prospective,  he heard Jesus was coming through Jerico and wanted to see him.so he climbed a tree because he was to short to see over the crowd. And when Jesus came thar way he looked up and seen him. and said Zac-ches'-us come down for today I must visit with you. and came down quickely, and was glad. and the rest said he has gone to visit a man who is a sinner. and Zac-chea'-us told Jesus half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken any thing from any one falsely I will restore it four fold. And Jesus said this day salvation has come to this house for he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son Of Man has come to save that which is lost. We must reach out to the lost any way we can, that is one of our christian duties. If we never have any thing to say or do with a sinner then how can we lead them to Christ?

    GOOD TIME

We had a great service sunday. good preaching, and good food , and a great singing, whish everyone could have been there. The LORD was surely with us .the spirit of God was every where. We had a great home coming. Some folks say baptist dont know how to worship, but at Hampton Hieghts we sure do. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Now there are diversities of gifts but the same spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations but the same Lord. 6 And there are diviersities of operations. but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal. What Paul is saying is although we may have different ways of worshiping. As long as we are worshiping the same Lord. The same spirit is made known to all.

    HOMECOMING 2006

We are having homecoming at church tommorow, I am looking foward to a great time of praise and worship. We will have a great message by Bro Maurice Kennedy, great food , and music by the Crusaders. I always look foward to our church services, But home coming is always special.Seems like every body just wants to have a good time in the LORD. fellowship with each other, and praise the LORD Instead of rushing out the door soon as church is over. Some times we cant get to people to speak to them fast enough. because before we can get to them they are out the door and gone.Scared the church is going to fall I suppose' Anyway I hope everyone has a great day of worship tommorow.as I know I am. Psalms 96:1-4 O sing unto the LORD a new song. all the earth. 2 Sing unto the LORD bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.3 Declare his gloryamong the heathen. hiswonders among all people. 4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.

    Gods Blessings on all

    GRANDMAS HANDS

The author of this is unknown and some probably have already read it but I thought it was worth reading again. The title is grandmas hands and it is a beautiful story and testimony.

Grandma, some ninety plus years, sat feebly on the patio bench. She didn't move,

just sat with her head down staring at her hands. When I sat down beside her she didn't acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I wondered if she was OK. Finally, not really wanting disturb her but wanting to check on her at the same time, I asked her if she was OK. She raised her head and looked at me and smiled. "Yes, I'm fine, thank you for asking," she said in a clear strong voice. "I didn't mean to disturb you, grandma, but you were just sitting here staring at your hands and I wanted to make sure you were OK," I explained to her. "Have you ever looked at your hands," she asked. "I mean really looked at your hands?" I slowly opened my hands and stared down at them. I turned them over, palms up and then palms down. No, I guess I had never really looked at my hands as I tried to figure out the point she was making. Grandma smiled and related this story: "Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have served you well throughout your years. These hands, though wrinkled, shriveled and weak have been the tools I have used all my life to reach out and grab and embrace life. "They braced and caught my fall when as a toddler I crashed upon the floor. They put food in my mouth and clothes on my back. As a child my mother taught me to fold them in prayer. They tied my shoes and pulled on my boots. They held my husband and wiped my tears when he went off to war. "They have been dirty, scraped and raw, swollen and bent. They were uneasy and clumsy when I tried to hold my newborn son. Decorated with my wedding band they showed the world that I was married and loved someone special. They wrote my letters to him and trembled and shook when I buried my parents and spouse"They have held my children and grandchildren, consoled neighbors, and shook in fists of anger when I didn't understand. "They have covered my face, combed my hair, and washed and cleansed the rest of my body. They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried and raw And to this day when not much of anything else of me works real well these hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer. "These hands are the mark of where I've been and the ruggedness of life. But more importantly it will be these hands that God will reach out and take when he leads me home. And with my hands He will lift me to His side and there I will use these hands to touch the face of Christ." I will never look at my hands the same again. But I remember God reached out and took my grandma's hands and led her home. When my hands are hurt or sore or when I stroke the face of my children and husband I think of grandma. I know she has been stroked and caressed and held by the hands of God. I, too, want to touch the face of God and feel His hands upon my face.       'Jesus is Lord' Amen

    THE MASTER

Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. So if we say we are serving God,  but we dont give up the things of the world that are not pleasing to God, we are trying to serve two masters. If that is the case then we are going to have to give up, or make some sacrifices of the things that are not pleasing to God. Paul tells us in Romans  what we have to do. 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be ordained of God. Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.We can make idols or other gods out of any thing that we put before God, or we let take the place of God in our life. Romans 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God; and they that resist shall recieve to them-selfs damnation.

    WHY

Why do we walk the isle and tell the Lord that we wont forgiveness for our sins ,and we wont to live our life for him. only to turn our back on him every time something comes up we had rather do, than to go to church or to worship our Lord.Seems like something is wrong with this picture. If we do this we are not putting God first. I have heard it all. I didnt feel good or I over slept, I had company, there was a football game on I just had to see. and a number of other excuses. But the truth is we are not putting God first in our life, we are putting what we wont first. and God last. and Im afraid that is not going to be good enough. Matthew 13:5-8 Some fell upon stony places. where they had not much earth; and forewith they spring up, because they had no deepness of earth.6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them. 8 But others fell into good ground and brought forth fruit. some an hundredfold somesixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Maybe we should make sure we are planted in the good ground. If we make God first we then can bear good fruit also.
