New Goals
For us to have goals for this new year is important We derive our
goals from Gods Word and listening to His voice as we seek His
direction. As we follow through on these goals, we ultimately reflect
who we truly believe God to be. As we speak to others and act out these
goals, we reveal that God has a place of honor in our lives…
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord
Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:17. “May everyone have a blessed and Happy New Year“

What Seems Foolish
Salvation comes through what many would consider foolishness: the
cross. How can the death of one man on a cross so long ago bring
salvation to us in the 21st century? The cross can because God planned
it and had the power to do it. A wise person sees this plan and embraces
the cross.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to
those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power
of God. NKJV

Christmas Wishes
20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the
Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not
be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in
her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you
shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Matthew 1:2o-21

God’s Promised Messiah
In a few verses Isaiah told us much about Jesus’ character and
actions. He would give wise understanding counsel based on knowledge and
fear of the Lord. He would judge the poor and meek with righteousness
and slay the wicked with His breath. He would be known as the mighty
God. The celebration of the promised Messiah is only days away. Isaiah
assured us long ago why we would need His compassionate presence among
us.
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom
and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; Isaiah 11:2 KJV

The Promised Savior
When issues or relationships are supremely significant in our
lives, we should be on fire regarding those priorities and no one is
more important to us than God. God is passionate about our relationships
with Him. We are His top priorities. He proved His love by sending the
promised Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He cared for us so much that He
became Immanuel, God with us”… Behold a virgin shall be with child, and
shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel. which
being interpreted is God with us. Matthew 1:23. So now its our turn .
Shouldn’t we be passionate for God after all He’s done for us? Lets be
on fire for our Lord…Therfore the Lord himself shall give you a sign;
Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son and shall call his name
Immanuel.

Now is The Time
Time flies it’s true! many of us can look back at the years and
wonder where the time has gone. We’ve had intentions of accomplishing
something grand, but the time simply got away from us. The things we
will never accomplish shouldn’t pre-occupy us. But when we put off
seeking the Lord, the time will come when it will be to late. With each
new day we grow closer to the Lords return. Wouldn’t it be sad to find
ourselves a long way from Him? Eventually with each day we tarry, we may
lose precious time that could be invested in our relationship with Him.
God waits patiently. Is He waiting on you?
Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near. HCSB

Be Still, Listen
It seems like everyone is so busy that they don’t have time to
think anymore. We are moving in such a fast paced world that time is
slipping away much faster than we would like. Think about this: Jesus
was busy, but He was never rushed. He had only 33 years to accomplish
more than we ever will, but He always had time to be still, to wait
patiently on His Father’s timing, and pray. No one understands, listens,
or loves like God. Instead of competing for our time, He wants us to
draw near to Him and be still so that we may hear His voice and follow
Him.
And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out,
and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35

Measureing Up
God is good. He has a unique relationship with each of His
children. He knows exactly what we need to become Christ like. After
all, God is more concerned with our character than our prosperity.. What
we need is a proper way to measure our lives. Instead of seeing how our
lives stack up with those around us, we need to compare them to the
life of Jesus. Only then will we recognize that what others have is
immaterial; all we have is a gift from God. We will become less jealous
and more grateful.
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the
trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that
came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
Romans 5:15

God’s Perfect Timing
We find it easier to ask for something and believe we’ll receive it
when we think we know the exact moment it will arrive. We find it much
more difficult to pray and then wait. But with God timing isn’t the
issue; faith is the issue. We must not interpret God’s silence as His
denial. Don’t place a period where He has merely placed a comma. He’s in
no rush, and you shouldn’t be either. God’s timing is perfect.
Psalm 38:22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
