God’s Commandments
Keeping God’s commands means being obedient to Him by letting His
principles transform our lifestyles. Keeping God’s commands means
fulfilling them in our daily choices. Obedience means faithfulness to
His commands rather searching for loopholes and exceptions. We should
evaluate our lives to see how we define keep when it comes to keeping
God’s Word.
Deuteronomy 6:17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the
LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath
commanded thee.

His Name is Holy
Picture a pregnant Mary as she entered the house of her cousin
Elizabeth. As she spoke, the baby in Elizabeth’s womb leaped at the
presence of the unborn Messiah with such power that Elizabeth was moved
to praise God. I wonder if Mary sang as her praise in response,” Holy is
His name”
Luke 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

Shock and Awe
After His Resurrection from death, Jesus gave the disciples their assignment-to take the gospel to the world. Then He ascended into heaven. In absolute shock and awe, the disciples stood gazing upward. Two angel appeared and asked, “why are you standing thee looking into the sky?” The disciples were to get busy fulfilling their great commission assignment. Is this scene repeated in your life? Oh , we can’t help but gaze at His majesty but God wants more than our adoration The angel challenged, Why are you standing here? God’s Word commissions us to go and tell others about Him. Acts 1:11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” [ESV]

What Matters Most
What matters most to me beyond my relationship with God is my family. I treasure the times with them the conversations we have, holidays spent with them. It brings joy to my heart to think of the special times we’ve shared together. Fortunately, you don’t have to wonder what matters to God. It’s you! You’re the crown of His creation. Surely if he feeds the birds, He will take care of you. He love all of us and wants what is best for us. He fashioned us for a purpose to relate to Him. Lets show God that we value Him as He values us. Matthew 10:31 Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

The Lamb is the Light
Most Christians know the first verse of Genesis as well as they know John 3:16 “In the beginning God created.” Christians believe God created everything, including light. Imagine a world without the sun, moon and stars. Plant, animal, and human life would soon disappear. When John received a vision of heaven, he described the new Jerusalem with a completely different source of light. The light sources he had always known no longer existed. In fact they were no longer needed. Instead the glory of the Lord God Almighty and Christ the Lamb illuminated everything and everyone. Before His death Christ said He was the light of the world. Now John knew exactly what He meant. Imagine not needing the sun, moon, or stars. Yet when we come to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we don’t have to fear the outer darkness of hell [see Matt.8:12]. In heaven the Lamb is the light. Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Promote Gods Word
Why do Christians promote the Word of God so strongly? Because Gods Word [I.e the Bible] is what we have to live by.It teaches us right from wrong, it tells us that we must promote Jesus and salvation everywhere. Without this Word we as Christians wouldn’t know how to live in a sinful world. We wouldn’t know how to defeat Satan when he attacks us on every corner. I am proud to be called a Christian, but better than that to live the best of my ability to please a great and wonderful God and Savior Jesus Christ. And to be able to witness to all who will listen. Let us promote the Word of God Boldly and with enthusiasm where ever we are. May we send a message of love, hope, and truth to let the world know who we are. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.(NIV)

Anchor in Lifes Storms
We are all familiar with storms such as hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, and floods. These are symbolic of other types of storms we may face in life: physical storms, emotional storms, spiritual storms, financial storms, and family storms. We all face storms in life. While boats have anchors to keep them steady during storms. God has given us spiritual anchors, truths that can help us remain steady during the storms of life we face. Romans 5:1-2 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; 2 through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Gods Word Is Forever
Many of the things around us grow older and lose their usefulness. And we aren’t very old before we realize how fragile and how brief our own lives are. Where can we find stability and lasting truth? We can find it in Gods unchanging Word. His Word will remain though all else may fail. There will never be a time when we cannot put our total faith in His Word….The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the Word of God shall stand forever. Isaiah 40:8 [KJV]
