A STORY

Once there was this man who lived a life of sin. when some one tried to talk to him about Jesus or the Bible he would just say, How do we know the Bible is true ? or it probably wasn't translated right.And who is this Jesus I have never seen him. maybe He is just an old wifes fable.Now this guy was saved at a young age and really felt the spirit of the Lord.But as time went on he turned away from the Lord and to the ways of the world.he learned to play keyboards and begin to play in clubs across the south, drinking and partying and all that goes with that kind of life.several years later his wife invited the Lord into her life, and begin to go to church.oh she would try to get him to go, but he wouldn't he still did not wont to give up the old ways of the world.then one sunday he decided to go with his wife to church.and as they were singing the old hymn Just as I am; God spoke to him and said son come on back I still love you and will forgive you, no matter what you have done or how long it has been. you see a long  time ago I gave my only Son so that you could be saved and all who believe, and now its time to for you to come back into the flock. and he was forgiven and rededicated his life to Jesus.And is so glad he did. now he wonders why he waited so long.and missed out on so many blessings that the Lord would have bestowed on him if he would have only listened. I know this man very well, you see this man is me.................. John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to codemn the world. but that the world through him might be saved.

GODS OFFER

God offers everyone an invitation to come and be with him to turn away from the things of the world and drink of the living waters.....Isa 5o :1-3 Come all ye who are thirsty come to the waters; and you who have no money come buy and eat! Come buy wine and milk without money without cost. 2- Why spend money on what is not bread. and your labor on what does not satisfy. Listen ,listen to me and eat what is good. and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. 3-Give ear and come to me hear me that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenent with you..{NIV}..Jesus said over in John 4:14..but whosoever drinketh  of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 7:37-In the last day , the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying if any man  thirst let him come unto me , and drink.(KJV)........What a great offer God has  for all no matter who you are or where you come from rich or poor to drink of the living water .The water of everlasting life. I wont to drink that water and be full...Romans 6:23-For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Saviour.

THANKSGIVING

We all think of thanksgiving as a day to eat and be with friends and family. Sit around the tv and watch ball games turky day as some call it. I like to think of it as a day to give thanks where thanks is due. too our lord and saviour Jesus Christ for going to the cross and shedding His blood so that we all could be saved.Here are some scriptures I thought would be appropiate. Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Heb.13:15 By him let therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continualy, that is. the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Psalms 50:14 Offer unto God thanksgiving: and pay thou vows unto the most high.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOOSE

 Some one  that is our eternal friend   laid down His life for us. Is denied,  ridiculed, hated, but still is willing to forgive. Jesus does this because He  cares that much. Jesus said I would that none would perish but that all would have eternal life. Our Lord wants all to be saved. Yes we have a lot to loose. but look at the gain, If we believe on Jesus our precious Saviour. and repent.--   John 12:25-26 He that loveth his life shall loose it; he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto eternal life. We have to seek after eternal life more than  what this life on earth has to offer. 26- If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am there shall also my servant be.If any man serve me; him will my Father honor.  Praise Jesus for ever more.

TRUE BELIEVERS

True believers are the ones who except Christ into their hearts with out any regrets they live and follow Gods commandents to the best of there fleshly ability. seeking after the things which are rightgeous and pursuing Godly ambitions and not worldly.There are only two groups of people in the world the saved and the unsaved. you may be asking saved from what? Gods wrath. John 3:36- He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life;> believers] and he that believeth not the Son  shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth in him. [non believers]

TRADITION

We need to be careful and not get to traditional in religion. we need to practice the commandments of God rather than man made rules, we have so many different views on the scriptures that we confuse many new believers rather than teach them the gospel of Christ. many new christians get so confused that they just fall away from church all together. It is our responsability to make sure that the young christian knows the true gospel and not man made traditions, or man made rules.if we teach the true gospel  and the commandments that Jesus gave us to go by , then not only will young christians understand what it means to be a christian maybe we will too. Mark 7: 8-9-13 For laying the aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men on the washing of pots and cups: and many orher such like things ye do.9- And he said unto them. full well ye reject the commandment of God. that ye might keep your own tradition.  13-Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition which ye have delivered and many such like things do ye. John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have ever lasting life. this is the true gospel. [KJV]

A PROMISE

Psalms 89:1-2 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. For I have said. Mercy shall be built up forever: thy faithfulness shalt thy establish in the very heavens.------ What a wonderful promise God made his people if we would just do his will. and love Him as he loves us.

QUESTION

Why is it that we have people that say they were saved several years back, but yet they dont go to church, or have anything to do with Gods people, and if they read the bible maybe just every once in a while, they never talk about Jesus or the bible with out you bring it up.they never listen to preaching,or watch christian programming on tv.but if you ask them they will tell you that they believe in God and they seem to think there alright. Get the picture? Am I missing something here? as a born again christian I wont to work for the Lord. I love to hear good preaching, listen to christian music, be around other christians. but I dont condemn all music but christian, there is a lot of good music other than christian, but I had rather hear gospel. and I am not judgeing any one. I just dont understand.----   Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other:; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.------.Romans13:1-2 Let everysoul be subject unto the higher powers. for there is no power but of God . the powers that be are ordained of God.2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God; and they that resist shall recieve to themselves damnation.

THE WORD OF CHRIST

Colossians 3:15-17 15- And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body: and be ye thankful. 16- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom: teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs singing with grace in your hearts into the Lord. 17- And what so ever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God and the Father by him.  Paul was saying was to let the peace of God rule in our hearts and be thankful for everything God has done for us. And to let the word of Christ which is the gospel to lead as we teach, worship, sing, or to up lift one another  by the grace of God.  And finally what ever we do to do it in the name of the Lord and to always give him the thanks only he deserves. Psalms111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandents his praise endureth for ever.
