God Is Faithful
I am so thankful God is faithful to bring us through hard times.
He knows what things look like on the other side of the turmoil. He will
carry us through turmoil. He will carry us through the trials. He will
not let us drown in the raging waters of grief or the torrent of
despair. He will help us stand against the winds of frustration that
threaten to blow us away. We may not always be able to understand His
methods, but we can always trust His heart. Are you, or someone you know
struggling with a particular trial or emotional wound? Know that God
can be trusted to bring us through. Because He is faithful.
God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His
Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.1 Corinthians 1:9 ( New King James Version)

God’s Word
God has a word for humankind. God gave us His word-His character,
the incarnation of His nature, His very being-when He fulfilled His Old
testament promises and sent His Son to dwell among people in human
form. Jesus is that Word. The Word brought redemption. Through Him we
can have abundant life. He also brought light to dispel the darkness of
the world. Let us spend time today with the living Word.
In the beginning was the word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

Trusting God
Only God is fully knowledgeable about the future. And only God,
in His infinite love, can completely carry us through difficult
situations after they’ve occurred. Trusting God means trusting that His
plans for us are both knowledge based and love motivated. If His plans
for us based on His knowledge without His love, we might suffer from His
cruelty or apathy. If God were all love and no knowledge, He would not
be qualified to plan wisely for anyone. Praise God! we can trust Him
with our futures because His unlimited knowledge and His unconditional
love combine to make Him uniquely trustworthy.
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Worth Waiting For
As we travel down the path of life, Satan has placed billboards
with big promises strategically along our path, tempting us to
sacrifice our long time good for momentary pleasure. In psalm 25 David
expressed his determination to stay on track, stick to the plan, follow
God’s truths and wait for His signal, even if it took all day. God’s
salvation had come before and it would come again. Some of us veer off
our spiritual paths to find substitutes and quick fixes for suffering,
sadness, and many other situations. God’s plan is worth waiting on, even
if it takes all day.
Psalm 25:5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Who Needs the Doctor?
Most of us visit the doctor ever so often whether it be for a
routine check up or for sickness. Sin like sickness is a human problem
we must learn to address in both proactive and responsive ways. Who
needs the Doctor? Anyone for whom sin has been , is, or will be a
problem. Who needs the Doctor?anyone who is building their immunity to
Satan’s influence and the sickness of sin. How do you deal with sin? Do
you wait to go to the Great Physician until sin has made you sick? or do
you have regular check-ups with Him and follow the Doctors orders?
Jesus said we all need a physician.
And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. Luke 5:31

Sharing With Others
Why should we choose to share what we have with
others in need? Giving to others shows that we follow Gods commandments.
But as we give, let us give with an attitude of love, not with a
feeling of complaint or resentment. When we fill another persons cup,
our cup overflows.
Every man according as he purpose in his heart, so let him give; not
grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver. 2
Corinthians 9:7

The Mission
Matthew 10 is the record of Jesus’ sending the
Twelve Disciples on a mission. After giving instructions for their
immediate mission, Jesus then warned of future hostility not only from
religious and civil authorities but also members of ones own household.
The call to confess Him before men is a call to declare one’s allegiance
to Jesus as Lord. In the context of of persecution, such a declaration
would require remaining faithful to Jesus unto death. In contrast to
today’s prosperity gospel message, Jesus offers His followers no smooth
ride. But He does promise the Holy Spirit to be with us and assures of
of God’s fatherly love.
Whosoever there fore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32
