Who’s in Charge?

The economy, immorality, families struggling. These seems to be more and more a part of our daily lives. It’s depressing. What are we to do when our world looks hopeless? Do we hope in political reform? When that doesn’t work out, do we search for wealth or protection? Guess what? Those of us who have felt the sunshine of God’s love, the passion of a Savior who gave Himself for us, don’t have to continue the search. We already have the answer in our grasp. The answer is God’s grace and faithfulness.

 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 KJV

What is It?

It is what it is . We hear this phrase all the time. It’s in our culture’s daily conversation and it refers to something we don’t like but can’t fix.Yes, it is a step up from the total futility of,’Whatever’! But what about”God is at work”? “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done”? There is no resignation to things that are in these phrases they ring with hope in God’s awareness of our condition and His power to change whatever ‘it’ is.

 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10 NIV
