Closeness of Jesus
We may sometimes feel that we are failing in life. Things may not be going as we would like. There are so many things wrong in this world. It may seem like we are all alone that no one cares about us. Life is passing us by. We are on a roller coaster to disaster and there is no way off. There are many situations that may seem hopeless. Marriages failing, problems with our children, drugs, alcohol, too many bills left at the end of the money. There are many, many things that affect our daily lives. What can we do? If we are Christians we must pray. Jesus will hear and comfort us in our time of need. We can feel the closeness of Jesus in our lives. If you are not a Christian you are missing the opportunity of having a close relationship with Jesus. To feel the comfort and peace that only He can give. God will forgive all sins if we will only ask in earnest. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Honest Confession
One of the hardest things a human being ever has to say is,” I have sinned.” Of course, there are some who clip of the words very easily when they are caught. But that does not mean the same as when we face our undiscovered sins. In psalm 51 David said I have sinned. Even a king had to face his own guilt. Why? In order to feel bad about it and suffer punishment? No. In order to receive forgiveness and a new start. Honest confession is good for the soul. Praying for forgiveness should be a regular exercise for all Christians. Only God can remold the heart damaged by rebellion and deception. Renewal is better than repair. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Cause For Amazement
A man stood enraptured as he gazed at the grand canyon for the first time. He was heard to whisper, “It isn’t so!” But it was so. Its grandeur was such that he could not believe his eyes. Is this not our first reaction to the gospel? we come to Jesus with our souls out of harmony with our selves , with others, and with God. Then we hear His blessed words, ” Thy sins be forgiven thee.” We are amazed that such words can make so great a difference. We believe it but do others? Men may question our words but they cannot doubt our lives. Does Jesus have the power to forgive sin? “Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk,” He says. Then they will be amazed but convinced. The outward transformation verifies the inward change. Mark 2:12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Worship
We are to worship our Lord and savior Jesus Christ above all things. We are to out God before all the worldly possessions that we may have. We need not make idols out of the things of the world.Love and understanding and the willingness to help one another. These are the things that we, as a child of God should focus on. These are also the things that make God smile on us…And the Lord appeared to him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake. Genesis 26:24. Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Luke 4:8

Rich Or Poor?
While we live out our time in this world. Many will become rich and some rich and famous. Many will never have money or fame. But if we are a child of God it doesn’t matter how poor we are, or where our social status is. One day we all will be the same: when we are called to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Corinthians 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, in order that you might be made rich through His poverty. James 2:5 Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of this world in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him? Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is in mercy, for His great love with which He loved us.

He Has Risen
Jesus was not there, for He had risen. The tomb couldn’t hold Him. Jesus is alive and well at the right hand of the Father, and has all power and glory, and will reign forever and ever. John 20:1-9 [KJV] The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. 3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. 4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. 8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. May all have a Blessed Easter

Good Friday
Many have asked why the day of Jesus crucifixion is called Good Friday?. I think Billy Graham, answered this extremely well. [Quote] “But what appeared at first to be a tragedy was in fact a triumph — because by his death on the cross Jesus Christ purchased our salvation. We are separated from God because of our sin, and because we are sinners we have no hope of eternal life. God is pure and holy, and even one sin — just one — would be enough to keep us out of heaven. But by his death on the cross, Jesus Christ became the perfect and final sacrifice for our sins — and because of that, heaven’s door is now open to all who put their faith and trust in him. And that’s why we can call the day on which Jesus died “Good Friday.” In fact, it was the greatest Friday in the history of the human race, because on that day Jesus Christ won our salvation. At one time, the Bible says, we were “without hope and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12). But now we have hope, because Christ died for us.”[End Quote]

More Valuable Than Gold?
We have talked so much about religion as an opiate, foxhole religion, and escapism that we have made people ashamed to take help. But we need help. Everyone does. A little girl asked Daddy, why do they call that verse about ‘doing unto others as we would have them do to us’ a golden rule?” “Well I guess because it’s so good.’’ “But why golden?” she insisted. ‘’Oh I see. You want to know why gold was connected with a rule we live by. Let’s see. Here, I have it; because gold was the most valuable thing they knew then, except possibly certain jewels.’’ “You mean the rule is worth a lot of gold?” “Sure it is the most valuable rule man has ever known. It means that each one of us must think of how we would want to be treated. Then we must treat others as we would want to be treated. It is; more valuable than gold. As ye would that men should do to you , do ye also to them likewise. Luke 6:31
