Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV

    LIVE FOR GODS GLORY

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Collossians 3:17....For us to have goals for this new year is important We derive our goals from Gods Word and listening to His voice as we seek His direction. as we follow through on these goals, we ultimatley reflect who we truly believe God to be. As we speak to others and act out these goals, we reveal that God has a place of honor in our lives.

Wishing everyone a very Blessed and Happy New Year.

    FAITHFUL SERVANTS

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful sevant: thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter tho into the joy of the lord. Matthew 25:21......Our Heavenly Father rewards faithfulness. Gifting believers with various abilities, resources, and opportunities, He expects service in proportion to our giftedness. In response, He blesses our ministries and rewards our service. Good servants are not rewarded  for thir results but for their faithfulness;as wicked servants are not condemned for their lack of results, but for their lack of investment in His service. Are we faithfully serving Christ? We all can bring joy to Him by investing all of ourselfs to His service everyday.

    FOLLOW JESUS

For even hereunto were ye called; because Christ also sufferd for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps. 1 Peter 2:21.......The Apostle Peter knew the reality of suffering for Christ. He had experienced the vibrant birth of the church and witnessed its daily growth only to see it scattered in the wake of persecution. Remembering Christs promise of such injustice..Matt. 5:11..Blessed are ye when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and lay all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.....Peter understood that salvation was free and that discipleship carried a great price. In light of Christs suffering, Peter considered believers' suffering to be a privilage-- an opportunity to walk in Jesus steps..Have we commited ourselfs to follow Christ regardless of the cost? Thank God today for the privilage of sharing in Christ's suffering, and daily ask for strength to glorify Him as we endure.

    IN A SPIRIT OF HUMILITY

And preached, saying There comes one mighter than I after me the latchet of whos shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. MARK 1:7....Sometimes when we try to be the best, we're often dismayed to find there is always someone smarter more successful than we are, so we become discouraged , dissapointed that we are second place.--second best. john the Baptist understood second place, following Jesus, who was his superior in every way. His lifes purpose was to prepare the way for Jesus. Yet he never viewed his role as second best. Rather, he understood the honor of an unworthy servant being chosen for such a task. What fulfilment and freedom he found in humility. We too can find fulfilment by faithfully following Jesus and being content in our God given tasks, even though they may not seem as important as others tasks. We need to humbly submit to Jesus and experience His freedom and fullfilment, and be happy in what we do.

    BY WORSHIPING HIM

And when they were come into the house, they saw a young child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshiped him; and when they had opened their treasures, they presented them gifts; gold and frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:11....There was nothing convenient about whe wise men's worship. they traveled many miles, made countless inquiries , and followed His star faithfully because the King was worthy of their devotion. throughly prepared with gift in hand, they were surprised only by the glory of His presence; and they fell in adoration before Him. Lets all worship our Lord and Savior this Christmas. And if your church has a worship service, make it convenient to attend and worship Him.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND MAY GOD BLESS.

SHEPARDS: MAKING KNOWN THE GOOD NEWS

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning the child. Luke 2:17......Jesus often referred to Himself as the shepard , one who cares for his sheep. He knew his sheep and they knew Him.Sheep depend on their shepherds for protection , and provision. Jesus was called the Lamb of God. It was no coincidence that shepherds  was chosen as the first to know of Christ's birth. The shepherds heard and believed the good news. and they rushed to Bethlehem to see the Savior whos birth was announced . They did not keep the news to themselves, and they weren't afraid to share it. They hurried about the town telling everyone about the miracle born that night. Though we may have read the good news story over and over, we need to share the good news with lost people this Christmas... 3 days till Christmas

    CHRISTMAS POEM

(I didn't write this poem, But I thought some one might get a blessing out of it.)

In each generation the storys retold,

The humble beginnings, in darkness and cold,

    The beautiful mother,

Courages yet mild, Who held the worlds hopes,

When she cradled her child, And hear songs of peace

in His innocent sighs, and saw perfect love

in the light of His eyes.

And of His Kingdom There Will Be No End... Luke 1:33

    JESUS THE SAVIOR IS BORN

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them at the inn. Luke 2:7.....When Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary were not surprised. God had spoken to them and told them of His greatest Gift, the redeeming savior, the Christ. He had even told Joseph to name the baby Jesus. For many centuries many people have been surprised by this humble birth of our Savior; and through Him all that believed could be saved. Weary souls find all they need in the love of our Savior born as a ordinary babe..... 5 days till Christmas

    Mary Blessed by Gods Grace

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou who art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among woman. Luke 1:28. Lots of books and songs have been written about Mary the mother of Jesus. Many stories have been told, and many girls have been named after her. Schools and hospitals have been named in her honor. She's been praised and worshiped, and talked about through the ages. But one of the best gifts she left to the world is her humility in accepting Gods grace. How does this relate to us today? The story of Jesus birth is a story of  Gods grace to all of us.We are all recipients of Gods grace. The true gift is the one that is pleasing to God and comes from Him because of Gods grace. With Jesus as the greates gift, then we must accept that Jesus' coming  is the greatest example of Gods grace. Mary knew  firsthand Gods grace............6-days till Christmas.

    JOSEPH JUST OBEYING

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife. Matthew 1:24...Joseph set a good example of being just and obeying the laws.He obeyed God's messenger and excepted Mary as his beloved wife, and thus, was part of the greatest event the world has ever known---The birth of our Saviour The Lord Jesus Christ. When we obey God, we are co laborers with every Christian who shares the Christmas story; and God includes us in His salvation plan.

    THE PROMISED SAVIOUR

Therfore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold a virgin shall concieve, and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14....... When issues or relationships are supremlely significant in our lives, we should be on fire regarding those priorities and no one is more importent to us than God. God is passionate about our relationships with Him. We are His top priorities. He proved His love by sending the promised saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. He cared for us so much that He became Immanuel, God with us"... Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel. which being interpreted is God with us. Matthew 1:23....So now its our turn . Shouldnt we be passoinate for God after all He's done for us? Lets be on fire for our Lord.

    A NEW COVENENT

But this shall be the new covenet that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD,I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33- Nothing that is Godly and right will come out of us  unless the Lord puts it there . Without the Lords help our actions and attitudes will be tinted with sin. this is why our relationship with Christ is such good news. God puts new desires and thoughts  inside of us. Then when people push our buttons what comes out are the reactions and feelings of God Himself.

    A LIGHT TO THE GENTILES

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the GENTILES, THAT THOU SHOULDEST BE FOR SALVATION UNTO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH....Acts 13:47-- Paul and Barnabas were greatly familiar with the scriptures, they had studied the prophets and listened to rabbis. In their personal time with God a verse from Isaiah jumped out at them. Through this passage  God provided guidance for these new missionaries. He helped them find a solution to their problem. Their path through life was clarifed as they turned their attention to sharing the gospel with all peoples..Does the Bible give direction for our own personal future?. Sure it does. it is the instruction manual for all people. Jesus tells us in the Bible for his followers to be  his witnesses, unto the uttermost parts of the earth Acts 1:8-But ye shall recieve power after the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and you shall be witnesses unto me  both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Sama'ria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.--- Which means that we should be dedicated to telling others about Jesus. We should all be ready to share the gospel as widely as possible.

    MY REDEEMER LIVETH

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.Job 19:25-A lot of us have a lot of ailments to deal with, athritis, diabetes, gout. and numerous others, All are painful. But consider Jobs ailments. His entire body was covered with infected sores. His immune systym was shut down, and disease ravaged his flesh. How could Job have hope even though his body was wracked with pain? He could have hope because Job reconized his disease was only temporary, His house of clay would give out, and he would die. However he knew he had a redeemer who would restore his life at the end of time. That One would pay the ransom for his sins, thus allowing him to live forever with God. Do we have that hope in Christ the redeemer who lives? If so then we to can deal with our pain, knowing that someday we will be set free from our infirmities. And we will enjoy a new body as we live in heaven with our Lord.

    ANYTIME HE CALLS

And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him. Mark 1:18 Simon and Andrew lived in a slow paced world. Few things happened instantly. Yet when Jesus called them to decipleship, they immediately left their home, family, and occupation to follow Him without question or hesitation. they didn't ask for a more convenient time. Jesus had spoken they had understood, and they responded in complete and immediate obediance.Jesus still calls deciples today to follow Him no matter what age you are. We need to ask Christ to renew His call on our life today.

    ENDURE TEMPTATION

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is tried, he shall recieve the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them who love him..James1:12....James was encouageing Christians, who were tempted to give in, to hang in there,He reminded them that they too would have a reward coming if they would endure the temptation and persecution of the present age. As we deal with the pressures and temptations , of life today we need to remember that we have a reward awaiting us that is better than any temporary pleasure this world has to offer.

    WATCH AND PRAY

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.Mark 14:38.......Our Lord wants us to notice that the possibility of sin is lurking around every corner. He wants us to be on the lookout and in constant communication with the Father, who sees everything, so that temptation does not catch us off guard Watch carfully for what might be slipping up on you today. We need to ask God to help and lead us. So we can experience the true victory in our lifes.

    Study Gods Word

And that from a child thou has known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15......When we constantly take in Gods Word we cannot help but change. Reading, studying, memorising, and meditating on Gods Word changes us. Gods Word begins to change the way we think inwardly; therefore , it changes the way we act outwardly.

    Walk After The Spirit

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. Romans 8:1... In Romans 8:1, Paul Encourages us not to follow the wrong things in Life, But encourages us to always walk after the things of the spirit. Today take a good look at what or whom you are following, choose to turn your back on the flesh and walk after the spirit.

    COUNT DOWN DEC. 6TH

I have started my own count down untill Christmas. each day I will have  different Bible verses and commentery relating to this time of year. may they bless every one. here is no1-- Dec 6-- 1John 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father but is of the world..........In our relationships with our Heavenly Father, we tend to get caught up in craving the sugar of life, and His voice begins to fade away. Following the alluring things of this world will lead us away from God......Farher , reveal to me the things of the world I crave more than you, Help me to choose you  over anything else today.

    BELIEVE

Do we really believe? do we have faith that God will see us through all our problems if we will trust in him. We all have our share from time to time; sickness, finances, family problems, all kinds of circumstances that we just can't seem to handle on our own. if we will just trust and have faith in God, and truly believe; as christians, He will give us the ability to seek out the answers, and will take care of our needs according to His will. Matthew. 7:7-8 Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. 8-For every one that asketh recieveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. So first we have turn them over to God.second we have to let God give us the answers. and third we have to really believe that God will take care of them.Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29- Take my yoke upon you,and learn of me; for I am meek and lowely in heart and ye shall find peace in your souls. 30- For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Praise the LORD for taking our burdens, if we will just ask.
