Wait On The Lord
Impatience is part of our American culture. We grow irritable when
forced to wait at the checkout lane, for a traffic signal, or the
dentist office. When we’re children, we can’t wait to be teenagers. In
our teens we want to be grown ups. As youth can’t wait to finish college
or get a job. In middle age we can’t wait to retire. In today’s fast
paced world it is awful easy to loose our patience. Although we admire
patience, we’re more likely to pray, “God give me patience and, and do
it right now!”
Prayer is not only a time for petition, for praise and repentance.
Prayer is also a time for patience, a willingness to wait on God, to
realize His timetable is not always the same as ours. As we pray, may we
allow time to listen and wait. Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say on the LORD. Psalm 27:14

Gift From God
Eternal life is a gift from God that we do not earn and cannot
lose. He gives us a promise that we will never perish. We are His sheep,
and He loves us even when we stray. We can live with peace today,
knowing that we are held by one who is stronger than we are and will
never let us go.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:27-28 (NKJV)

Loving Others
We are to love others as Christ loves us. How much is that? Well,
He loves us so much that He was totally obedient to God, even unto
death. While He didn’t always condone the behavior of others, He loved
them unconditionally. We all know people who have habits we don’t
particularly like; but with God’s help, we can love them anyway.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. John 13:34 NKJV
