Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV

    BEAUTY OF SPRING?

I love spring of the year. The flowers are blooming and everything is putting on new life. The fields are getting greener by the day as are the trees. But along with all this beauty is a down side. Storms that can destroy lives and property in a very short time. This is all part of the wondrous design God has given to the elements. We can only pray for God to watch over us and give us the ability to protect ourselves as we go through the different seasons. We can enjoy all the beauty of Gods nature and be less fearful of natures wrath as long as we depend on God to protect us. Whether from storms of nature or life. We always can count on God to see us through…Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

    THE TRUE GOSPEL

There are many deceivers in the world. There are also many belief systems that claim to be gospel and all vie for our attention. lots of different religious groups with many different names and beliefs. Paul particularly warned new believers to be careful at those early critical stages of their new lives in Christ. We should always encourage new believers to stay in the Word, to look for answers in the Scriptures, and be wary of anyone who preaches anything else. Jesus did not say being tolerant of all other beliefs or having a broad world view would set us free . Rather, freedom comes from knowing the one and only truth >His Truth…Galatians 1:8-But even if we or an angel from Heaven preach a gospel to you beside what we preached to you, let him be accursed.

    DON'T GIVE UP

Every so often I feel my self becoming more  tired. Tired of trying to witness to people who just do not care. Tired of talking to people who have known the Lord  but turned away. Asking people to come to church just to get more empty promises and empty pews. It seems if you don’t have a full size recreation room [Gym] and  for ever having some extra activity’s going on[ not to say there is anything wrong with this if done for the right reasons], well you just aren’t going to get many people to come. You see it’s not what I can do to help the church but what can the church offer me. Because ME is what its all about. We need to remember that Jesus and his death on the cross for our sins is what everything is about. I am tired but I will not give up on people. Because I am sure glad God did not give up on us…John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.  What a great promise.

He Can Make Us What We Should Be

When Jesus decided to change Peter’s name  it demonstrated how Jesus looks at men. He does not only see what a man is; he also sees what a man can become. He sees not only the actualities in a man; he also sees the possibilities. Jesus looked at Peter and saw in him not only a Galilaean fisherman but one who had it in him to become the rock on which his church would be built. Jesus sees us not only as we are, but as we can be; and he says: “Give your life to me, and I will make you what you have it in you to be.” Once someone came on Michelangelo chipping away with his chisel at a huge shapeless piece of rock. He asked the sculptor what he was doing. “I am releasing the angel imprisoned in this marble,” he answered. Jesus is the one who sees and can release the hidden hero in every man…John 1:42 He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas (which is by interpretation, Peter).[William Barclay]

    FAIR WARNING

Many times we get a fair warning from God and a word to the wise should be sufficient. But so many times Gods Word is not heeded. Like the Christian loan officer who worked in a bank and was well aware that  employees that embezzles funds will eventually get caught.  She decided she was smart enough to beat the system and is now serving time in prison. Or the minister who knew the Word of God like the back of his hand, but lived in what he thought was a secret sanctuary of sexual misconduct. One day he was exposed and lost his wife and ministry. Wisdom  begins with the fear of the Lord. But those who are foolish turn deaf ears to His instruction…Proverbs 1:7 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    FALLING AWAY

There seems to be something very disturbing going on here in America. According to the news we are steadily loosing people who believe in God. There are more and more who say they don’t believe at all, while others say there is a higher power but it is not God. I assume maybe the other higher power is an alien from outer space maybe. This may explain why many of our church pews are empty. If we don’t believe then don’t have to answer to anybody or anything. Maybe we just don’t want anyone  even God telling us what we can do. We can do what we want no matter what.  We will not listen to our parents, teachers, or grandparents and we sure aren’t going to listen to a God we can’t see.  Sounds very familiar huh?..  Ezekiel 12:1-2 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people. ..Joshua 22:18. And are you now turning away from the LORD ?
” ‘If you rebel against the LORD today, tomorrow he will be angry with the whole community of Israel.

    MAN OF GOOD CHARACTER

He’s a wonderful man. He loves the Lord, sees after the needs of his family and strives to do the right thing. One day as he was driving home from work he saw blue lights flashing in his mirror. When he had pulled the car over the officer told him he was speeding.  Sometimes we think we can fudge a little when it seems no one is looking, but our actions usually catch up with us. While we live on this earth, we are commanded to live in a way that pleases our Heavenly Father. It isn’t always easy. And sometimes we when we believe we are doing the right thing, we learn later on we are not. There is an old saying that ones character is defined by the way they act when no one else is looking…1Timothy 6:11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.

    Warriors For God

We as Christians are warriors of God our mission is to teach the truth which is the Gospel of Jesus. And to be ready to teach this at all times. Also to use our faith against Satan. Our weapons are our salvation and the sword, which is the mighty Word of God. If we use these weapons to fight Satan, evil does not stand a chance. And we can overcome through our faith in our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ. ..Ephesians 5:14-17  Stand, therefore, with truth around your waist, righeouness like armor on your chest,15 and your feet sandaled with readiness of the gospel of peace.16 In every situation take the shield of faith. and with it you Will be able to extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one.17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit which is Gods Word.

    ACT NOW

We all would admit we have had some experience of letting an opportunity pass us by. We missed the moment. We may never have some of these opportunities again. Maybe they were once in a lifetime opportunities. There is a thread of urgency running through the Bible, a call to act with immediacy. We see such words as now, today, and watch, phrases like take heed and make the most out of time gives a sense of urgency and a call for decisive action. When Jesus spoke to the crowd in John 12:31-36 it included a call to action. While He was with them at the moment; He would not always be there. He urged them to act with faith at that moment in time. Because we live in time we must act in time. We have no assurances of  of time beyond the present. If we refuse the Light today it could result in darkness in the eternal tomorrow…John 12:35-36 Jesus said to them, “The light is among you only for a short time. Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. The person who walks in the darkness is in the darkness and does not know where he is going.
36 As long as you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light.” After Jesus had said this, he went away and hid from them.

    ANGRY

I sometimes find myself getting quite angry and upset over things that are happening.  There seems to be no morals anymore.Teens having sex in one room while their parents are in the other. Child molesting all over the news. Child abusers running rampant drug and alcohol abuse on every corner. Nudity and sex all over TV. Crooked bankers and politicians stealing from honest working people. I can easily back this up, just turn on the news anytime and it is all there. I don’t watch TV news a lot, to upsetting. I have about gotten to the point that I don’t believe anything I hear and half of what I see. But I know that there is a lot of good people out there. We seem to never hear the good only the bad. I know I shouldn’t be getting angry and I try to remember that God is in control, but I’m just human and I am not without sin. I pray for forgiveness for not always trusting in God to make things right. After all He gave His Son for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. And that is something we can count on.
