Worth the Reward
The world may think believers are senseless for following Christ.
Our families may question our priorities. Opponents of our faith could
potentially torment us. But in light of all that God has revealed, the
price is easily worth the reward. Patiently persevering through trials
and hardships will yield an eternal life of inestimable glory. A few
seconds with God will eclipse forever any we may have faced while in
this world.
He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord God will wipe away
tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the
earth; For the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 25:8 NKJV

Forgiveness
Forgiveness is not reserved merely for the ending of family
feuds, or for the restoring of long angry conflicts. Sometimes
forgiveness is tenderhearted and kind and quick to overlook wrongs.
Forgiving people should be a gentle, constant, natural experience.
Genuine forgiveness understands shortsightedness, overlooks bad habits,
and looks into the hearts of others with love. Our own experience of
forgiveness is essential to helping others seek God’s forgiveness. After
all, there is One who was offended and hurt by our actions, but He
never gave up, always forgave, and love us just as we are.
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

The Promise
There is hope for every one who believes, a
promise that Jesus made to all of us. It doesn’t matter how bad things
may seem there’ is a light at the end of the tunnel.- John 3:21 But
whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly
seen that his works have been carried out in God. Here is the hope.-John
14:1 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in
me. John 14:2-In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I
would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And here is
the promise. 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you. I will come
again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am you may be. The hope
of eternal salvation, it is a promise for all who believe. [ESV]

Believe in God
People who believe in God are slowly being outnumbered by non
believers. There are more and more who say they don’t believe at all,
while others say there is a higher power but it is not God. I assume
maybe the other higher power is an alien from outer space maybe. This
may explain why many of our church pews are empty. If God doesn’t exist
then we don’t have to answer to anybody or anything. Maybe we don’t like
anyone even God telling us what we can do. We can live our lives the
way we want. We will not listen to our parents, teachers, or
grandparents and we sure aren’t going to listen to a God we can’t see.
Ezekiel 12:1-2 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 “Son of man, you are
living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see
and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.
..Joshua 22:18. And are you now turning away from the LORD ?
” ‘If you rebel against the LORD today, tomorrow he will be angry with the whole community of Israel.

Love is Supreme
Valentines Day is celebrated as a day of love across much of the
western world, but its origins are murky. It began in the fourth century
as a feat honoring one are more relatively unknown Christian martyrs
named Valentine, and a thousand years later , Geoffrey Chaucer added the
romantic touch. In His sermon on the Mount, Jesus said we should not
love those who love us but love our enemies as well. 1 John 4:8 tells us
God is love, and those who don’t know love can’t know God. Of the three
arrows that need to penetrate our heart this Valentine’s Day faith,
hope, and love. Choose love. [God Is Love 1John 4:7-8] 7-Beloved, let
us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is
born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know
God, for God is love.

Do You Have Life?
Popular culture claims that we can earn eternal life by being a
good person. The test of a persons goodness often renders a false
positive result. The only test that provides an absolute answer is found
in 1 John 5:12. Only those who have the Son have His life within them.
Having the Son means accepting His sacrifice for sin as the only way to
have eternal life. Being a good person means nothing unless we have
accepted God’s Son as Savior. Goodness is a by product of having life,
not a test to determine whether one has eternal life. What are you
depending on for eternal life? Do you really have life? If not, I invite
you to trust Jesus today.
He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. 1 John 5:12 (NASB)

Finding Refuge
When we are troubled and everyone is from time to time, if we
would just keep in mind that as Christians, bought with the blood of
Christ, we know that God loves us. But sometimes we take him for
granted, and think its His obligation to love us. We sometimes depend on
other people instead of God; but they are not perfect and will
sometimes let us down. God is the Only one in whom we can fully trust
and find refuge. He is a safe house for the weary and worn, and He never
abandons His own……The LORD will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge
in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9

God always Cares
God always takes care of His children. He longs to give us more
blessings than we can comprehend. We just have to remember to be content
in what He gives. Often it seems like people look at God as a genie in
the sky waiting to answer their every whim. But God is not some
impersonal genie. He cares for us much more than that. His care is based
on love like no other can love us. Jesus promised , “Behold the fowls
of the air , for they sow not neither do they reap, nor gather into
barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better
than they?” (Matt. 6:26). Let us trust God to provide what we need and
then be content with those blessings.
