Love Works
Paul conveyed in Romans that the only dept we can never fully pay is the dept of love for one another. This love is not just a warm fuzzy feeling; it is an act of kindness motivated by a sense of eternal dept we owe the Lord Jesus. Moreover it sums up all the demands of the law.....Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fullfilling of the law. Romans 13:10.....
Matthew 5:44 but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;

Thankful Spirit
The magic of a thankful spirit is that it has the power to replace anger with love, resentment with happiness, fear with faith, worry with peace, the desire to dominate with the wish to play on a team, self preoccupation with concern for the needs of others, guilt with an open door to forgiveness, sexual impurity with honor and respect, jealousy with joy at an others success. All these things we can have when we have a thankful spirit. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had a thankful spirit?...Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful...Colossians3:15...

Choose That Which Glorifys God
Making a decision is often like solving a complex mathematical problem. Lots of factors must weigh iinto that decision. Will it be profitable? Will the results be short term or long term? What will it cost? What happens next? What will others think? Who else will be affected? Certainly important decisions can not be made hastily. Each element of the equation is important, but some are more important than others. Our primary motivating factor in decision making lies just below the dividing line. It affects everything above it. That factor is how will God be involved in the decision? How will God be glorified through the decision? Will His impact be be maximized by what is done? When we do the math we need to do it well. Everday we will face some simple decisions. What will I eat or drink? But we may also face some bigger decisions/ Let us depend on God and make decisions that will bring glory to Him.1Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

No Different
Ever wonder why so many people are staying away from church? Could it be that it is no different in the churches than it is out?. Man made rules, politics, rules, regulations, everything has to be political correct. Pastors must have degrees in Theology, psychology, Business, and Teaching, to name a few. Have we forgotten that we need plain old preaching Gods Word? Maybe if we take out the country club atmosphere, and put the God atmosphere back, we might begin to be able to minister to the lost again and get people back in Gods Church. We should love Gods church not buildings or denominations. Remember that Jesus died on the cross for you and me, and "Worship God" not people or buildings. Then we can have the kind of fellowship and love with others that God wants us to have. Jesus died but He also lives for us. Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life

Thought for today
"Thoughts For Today" Morality is like art, consists of drawing a line some where! The person who will not read is no better off than the person who can't read. The person who knows but will not use Biblical principles to live by is no better off than the person who does not know them. - [Zig Ziglar]

Even Sinners Are Welcome
We should never be so caught up in our church activities that we don't take time to know our neighbors. Some may be non Christians, but we need to let them know that Jesus welcomes them. To stay in our Christian circles feels comfortable. Yet Jesus spent time building relationships so people could know Him. I wonder if we are building relationships with others in ways that will enable us to share Christ with them? Even hanging out with the wrong crowd as did Jesus, can be a good thing if we are drawing sinners to repentance.Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Fathers Day
My father died in 1992, I sure miss him. But I have a father in heaven who is always with me. And He will be with anyone who will call on His name. Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. Wishing everyone a blessed and happy "Fathers Day"

RESTORE
When life caves in, you do not need reasons, you need comfort. you do not need answers; you need someone. And Jesus does not come to us with an explanation; he comes to us with his presence We are always seeking the reason. We want to know why. Like Job, we finally want God to tell us what is going on...But God does not reveal, he reveals himself. He comes to us as warmth when we are cold, fellowship when we are alone, strength when we are week, peace when we are troubled, courage when we are afraid, songs when we are sad, and bread when we are hungry. He is with us on our journeys, he is there when we are home. He sits with us at our table. He knows about funerals and weddings and commencements and hospitals and jails and unemployment and labor and laughter and rest and tears. He knows because he is with us. He comes to us again and again. 2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

REWARDS
Gods Word tells us that there are rewards when we praise Him. To focus on all He is, how He provides for us, and how , and how He fulfills His promises helps us maintain healthy states of mind and emotions. We need to remember that He is worthy of praise even if everything is not perfect as we think it should be. Are we persistent in our praise to God? If we accept the truth that praising God persistently is a worthy practice, and make that practice a priority we will be glad we did. Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Envy Greed
Greed, jealousy, covetousness, resentment, and envy all have different meanings but shades of similarity. Envy is sometimes translated 'jealousy' in modern translations. In the New Testament, envy is a characteristic of a person in rebellion to God. Romans 1:28 And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; Romans 1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Also envy is a work of the flesh. Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, Gal 5:21 envying, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Peter admonished Christians to avoid envy, laying aside all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and evil speakings. Envy as well as any sin of the body or spirit, can separate us from God.

TREASURES
When Jesus gave us these very important instructions He knew how greedy people were ,and how greedy the were to become. Matthew 6:20-21 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. How true these words are. Most people count their blessings by how many riches they have here on earth. They never think about whats in store for them in heaven. If we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He was crucified on the cross for our sins, and then repent. We also can be heirs to the greatest fortune of all times. Everlasting life with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
