The Waiting Game
Sources say that we spend three years of
our life waiting- on elevators, at red lights, inline at the doctors
office, or on hold after being told, “Your estimated wait time is 15
minutes.” I confess to often ending the call, because it’s just not
worth the wait. David’s prayer in Psalm 25:5 can be echoed by each of
us. Even the most mature believer needs to be taught by God. We need
divine instruction, a teachable spirit, and guidance to follow the right
path. And we can approach God with confidence that His guidance is
constant and consistent. Waiting is worth it when we do not wait in
vain.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5 (NKJV)

Designer Creator
What is your favorite place in God’s creation? Maybe its the
mountains, the ocean, the forests, the desert, or perhaps some other
wonderful place? What makes it your favorite? is it the grandeur, its
beauty, its intricate detail? From the tallest mountain to the smallest
atom in the earths core, from the most refreshing spring rain to the
most violent storm, from the simplest to the most complex living
organism, God is Creator of all. By right of creation, He is both owner
and manager of all the earth. Next chance you get, go to that special
favorite place you enjoy and thank God for who He is and for the wonder
of His created order. Meanwhile, spend time today admiring God’s
creation but worshiping the Creator.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,the world, and all who live in it; psalm 24:1[ NIV]

The Gospel is a Person
We were given the grace of salvation and holy life in Jesus Christ
before the beginning of time, but it was finally shown to us through the
appearance of Jesus. Every believer has been saved through the same
grace, but we who are on this side of the cross get to bask in the full
knowledge of Christ. It isn’t because of anything we have done, it is
because of who He is and what He has done. Jesus brought the light of
salvation to us, and in His light, death is destroyed. Immortality is
now ours, because we walk with Him in the Spirit. What’s more, it is a
beautiful Holy life which we have been gifted, the Gospel is a person
called Jesus.
but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 2 Timothy 1:10 NKJV
