Genuine Riches
For many decades , men with maps, new clues, and gold fever, have
gone into the rugged mountains in search of the lost Dutchman’s Mine. It
has been reported that more than fifty people have lost their lives in
the vain quest for it. Most of us search for hidden treasures of one
sort or another. The lure of riches and excitement creates an insatiable
desire for wealth. We often look in vain for legendary gold that
doesn’t exist and waste our years waiting to make the big strike. All
the while we are blind to the genuine riches at our fingertips.
Matthew 13:44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a
field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells
everything he has and buys that field. HCSB

Unwavering Faith
The word faith can sometimes be translated as hope. The hope
Christians have is not some uncertain optimism; instead, it’s certain
expectation based on God’s faithfulness to His promises. Because God
keeps His word, our hope really is faith in Him. Trials may come, but
we can trust God without bending. No storm of life is outside the
control of God, who is without exception true to His word. God’s
promises are just that-genuine promises. Don’t let the circumstances of
your life rob you of faith and hope.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. NKJV

God’s Church
We need to understand that it’s not the church building or the
denomination that makes the church it is in the heart of the
congregation. If we don’t have God in our heart then we have no church.
the name that is on the building does not matter. It is what is in your
heart. I think if everyone would recognize this very important fact our
relationship with God through our church would be so much better. Then
maybe we would understand what Paul was saying in 1Corinthians 12:4-5-6
There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are
differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are
diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

God is Love
God is the source of love. Love is the main characteristic of
Christians. We are to channel Gods love to others. Not everyone is
receptive to Gods love, but how precious it is when another person
responds to Gods love because he or she has seen Gods love in us.
He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is love. 1 John 4:8

Strong in Faith
Strength can be demonstrated in many different ways. there is not
only physical strength, but also emotional and spiritual strength. We
may have one without the other two, or we could be fortunate enough to
have strength in all three areas Growing in spiritual strength and
maturity comes from our daily walk with God: regularly reading Gods Word
and prayer. Having a strong spiritual strength leads to a lifestyle of
grace being extended to others. What a good way to begin the new year
being strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. The rewards will not
only be ours, but God will be glorified.
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy

Grace wins out
It seems that our culture has replaced the notion of sin with
sociological understandings of crime, heredity, and environment. For
many people sin no longer involves God. In stark contrast to this
cultural shift, God’s Word is clear regarding the reality and
consequences of sin. God gave us His law in order to reveal to us our
sin as He sees us- sinners desperately in need of His Grace. Sin is
real, and its consequences can be eternal. But praise God! His grace won
out on the cross of Jesus Christ! God’s grace is truly greater than our
sin.
Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, NKJV

God is no Tempter
Although we have no control over many of life’s
circumstances, we choose our reactions. Will we succumb to selfish
desires and become our own worst enemy or choose Gods Holiness?
Persecuted Christians around the world serve as examples for believers
and those that persecute them. They model faithfulness only by reliance
on our righteous God. If we desire that level of commitment, we must
accept responsibility for the choices we make. “I did it , and I’m
sorry.” That’s not so hard is it?
James 1:13 No one undergoing a trial should say, “I am being tempted
by God.” For God is not tempted by evil, and He Himself doesn’t tempt
anyone. HCSB

What’s most Important?
What is most important in our lives? For some its an expensive home
for others a career that ensures financial success, others good health
for them and their loved ones. None of these are wrong as long as we
serve God. To often we stress to much emphasis on the temporary things
of this life on earth, and do not stress the importance of wholeness and
eternal life through Jesus Christ. Peter did not offer the lame man
money, although he could have, instead he offered the man the best gift-
wholeness in the name of Jesus Christ. Gods grace is free and given to
those that except Him. This generous gift is the best gift of all.
Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give
I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. Acts
3:6.

Persistent Praise
Gods Word tells us that there are rewards when we keep on praising
Him. To focus on all He is, how He provides for us , and how He fulfills
His promises helps us to maintain healthy states of mind and emotions.
We need to remember that He is worthy of praise even if every thing is
not as we think it should be.We need to be persistent in our praise of
God, we need to make that praise a priority. We will be glad that we did.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORDS name is praised. Psalm 113:3….
