The Sure Hope
We hope for a lot of things. I hope for a beautiful day today, I hope my favorite ball team wins, I hope I’ll make more money soon. We hope for many things, and we find ourselves disappointed by unfulfilled hopes at times. There is one hope that is a sure thing. It begins with waiting on and trusting God. There are probably times when God just wants to say , Sit down and listen will you? A little patience please!. Does God hear us when we reel off our requests as we run out the door in the morning? Of course He does . Problem is we don’t always wait on His reply..Psalm 40:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

God in World Affairs
God’s paydays do not always fall on Fridays. Consequently many people conclude that the workings of divine justice are unfair. Some offenders are punished quickly; others continue in their lawless ways without any obvious accounting. But anyone who has lived for fifty years has the evidence in his own recollections that the penalties of transgressions are certain. Tyrants who terrorized continents and threatened to enslave the world have perished in ignominy. Ideologies that spawned racial pride and led to genocide are discredited and condemned in the very lands that gave them birth. The great Creator God who is Himself beyond history has chosen to carry out His purposes of justice and mercy. Today’s news media may not record His activities. But the passing centuries witness to the triumph of God’s goodness and severity. Jeremiah 50:9a For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon An assembly of great nations from the north country, And they shall array themselves against her;

Depend on The Lord
Our minds are sometimes clouded by internal wrangling . Seems like we are confronted every moment with decisions to be made.We are bombarded with deadlines.. We often to quickly trust our instincts, and our ability to discern, our own wisdom. But trust in ourselves alone can make us vulnerable. Without the Lord as our guide and His Word as our compass, we can quickly get lost in the marshes of life. More often than not we had rather do things our way. However depending on the Lord is always the best choice to make. He who knows us best and loves us most will guide us through life…[Proverbs 3:5-6] 5- Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. 6-In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

The Lord Is Gracious
Where would we be without the Lord’s tender mercies? What would happen to us if our Lord’s heart were not overflowing with compassion toward us? every memory of His work in our lives shouts this great truth He is gracious and full of compassion. Psalm 111:2-4 The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. 3 His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

Who We Are
I am truly bothered by some things that are going on in our world today. We seemed to have forgotten who we are and why we are here. We are all Gods children. I know that some are not living for Him, that is a choice. However God still loves everyone regardless of who you are or where you come from. Anyone can become a child of God. If we believe that Jesus is the Son of the true and living God, shed His blood and died on the cross so whoever would call on His name; repent and ask for forgiveness will be saved. Then they will surely know who they are. They have become children of the true and living God.. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. For whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13..We are all here for a purpose and it is God given.

Children of Light
For ye were sometimes in darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8… We are “Children of light.” The light is real, and no darkness can extinquise it. We can let our light shine by walking as Gods children of light today. Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Never Give Up
When life throws us a curve and things don’t go like we plan, should we keep trying or just give up? I’m afraid many may give up.This could be one reason why so many people may attend church for a period of time and just all of a sudden stop attending. Maybe we think after we are saved Life will be a bed of roses. The truth is this is when a lot of our hard times come. Satan bombards us with everything possible to get us to give up.This is where we are failing as a church. We need to teach the young Christians what to expect. We need to let them know that they are better off in church than out. And give more guidance as how the life of a Christian really is. We can always overcome Satan through our Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes we may just need to know how. Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Faith Hope Jesus
Many new Christians dive into their first Bible reading by opening the pages of Johns Gospel. there is a good reason why this is a favorite starting point: it was written so we might believe that “Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and by believing…may have life in His name” [But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through His name. John 20:31]. Make no mistake , John wrote his Gospel to convince people that at the center of the Christian faith is Jesus Christ Himself. And this is what a Christians life is all about. Faith, hope and believing on Jesus Christ the one and only true and living Son of God. This the only way to eternal life. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Subtle Appeals
Life is full of decisions. Good decisions often follow good decisions, and bad decisions tend to lead to more of the same.The devil hates us and wants to harm us, tempting us to make bad decisions. God loves us and always wants what is best for us. When we choose to do His will, we are deciding we want what is the very best. When we settle for less than the best , even if the choice seems good, we are in disagreement with God , and the devil wins. For God doeth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:5.
