Jesus Calms The Storms
From the time we are born to the moment we die, we will encounter
unpredictable turns in the road of life. At different times we might
encounter obstacles such as turmoil, strife, and discord. When the quiet
of our souls is assaulted, the ultimate point of peace is our
relationship with the Lord Jesus. For He not only possesses peace, His
very nature is peace. Think about the words Jesus spoke to a raging
storm: Peace Be Still. We may not always be successful in situations
that need change. The Lord may even have a specific purpose for the
tears or difficulty, but He is always the same. His peace abounds
whether we feel it or not. What can we do? we can pray to the Lord of
peace the one who is capable of giving peace to all who trust in Him.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace be
still. and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39

Walk With Christ
Our relationship with and heart for Christ should provoke a passion
within us to obey Him. Obedience is how we prove our love for the Lord.
We should desire to give Him control. We should want to surrender our
wills, to walk with Him as we would a close friend. That is the purpose
of a true Christian to live live in His presence and in His service,
enjoying communion with Him.
Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: KJV

Proclaim the Gospel
The time given us here on this earth to finish our task is quickly
vanishing. Soon night will come, and time as we know it will be no more.
We need to be busy going about the ministries that God has assigned for
us. We need to tell others about free salvation offered to everyone
through Jesus Christ. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written How
beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and
bring glad tidings of good things. Romans 10:15.

His Fathers Voice
Throughout His ministry, Jesus heard many voices, each of them
clamoring for His undivided attention. Jesus gave primary attention to
one voice in particular. He listened carefully to what His Heavenly
Father said to Him. Jesus passion to do what His Father wanted,
listening to and obeying His Father mattered to Jesus most of all.
Because of His desire to please His Father, Jesus gave us an excellent
example. We should listen to our Father carefully so we can obey God
willingly.
John 8:29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” NKJV

Power Packed Words
With a few words, Jesus conveyed His message. He summoned disciples
to deny themselves and take their cross daily and follow Him. Jesus did
not specify what followers needed to do. This is because the answer is
between them and God. For each of us, the answer to what it means to
follow Jesus is different with each new day. This is why we must daily
desire to be His disciples. Notice what Jesus did not say: if anyone
wishes to follow me they must have an IQ of 150 or be attractive. No He
specified only three requirements: deny self, take up our cross and
follow Him.
Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple
must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. NIV

Worlds Greatest Problem
Someone has said: “The greatest thing in life is to love someone.
The second greatest thing is to have someone love you. The third best
thing is to have the first two happen at the same time.” Well , it is
great to love and be loved. But the greatest thing in the world would be
to have a solution to the worlds greatest problem–sin. If this problem
doesn’t get solved, one’s eternity will be miserable. The greatest thing
in the world is the good news that God has taken the initiative to solve
our greatest problem. Jesus died to solve the sin problem. He died to
bring us to God. The One who was just died for the many who were unjust.
This is the gospel in the briefest of terms and the remedy for our
greatest problem.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered for sins once for all,the
righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring you to God,after being
put to death in the fleshly realm but made alive in the spiritual
realm. HCSB

Safe Refuge
Sometimes we take God for granted, and think its His obligation to
love us. We sometimes may depend on other people instead of God; but
they are not perfect and will sometimes let us down. God is the Only one
in whom we can fully trust and find refuge. He is a safe house for the
weary and worn, and He never abandons His own.
The Lord will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9.

Missing Children
An “Amber Alert” is a disturbing time for any community because it
means that children are missing. When an alert is declared, all
available resources are mobilized to go and look for the missing
children. Our Heavenly Father has many children who are missing. They
are in grave danger , but many of them are not aware of the danger.
Those who are aware may be hesitant to be found for the fear of the
judgement of God. But the Father is anxious for the repentance of all
of His lost children, and for them to be found. Because He loves them so
much that he gave His Son for this reason.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” NKJV
