    The Promise

    Promises are easy made but sometimes hard to keep. We promise all kind of things, but sadly human promises are not always kept which can lead to all kinds of problems. Gods promises are different, we find one in Acts 1:4 that is from Jesus Himself, Creator of the universe and now resurrected Savior. What was this promise? He promised His disciples that they didn’t have to go through life alone. He promised He would send the Holy Spirit to equip them for their task. Did He deliver? Absolutely. We can be comforted in knowing that He will keep every other promise the Scriptures contain and there are many…Acts 1:4-5 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5- for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

    Gods Love In Us

     And they will know we are Christians by our love. These are the lyrics of an old song. The many ways we proclaim Jesus and confess that He is Gods Son is a sign of Gods work in us. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he in God. 1 John 4:15…. Perhaps Christians have no more important role in today’s chaotic, violent world, than to show Gods love through our actions and in our words in grocery stores, restaurants, traffic, and with people we meet as we go about our daily lives. We are to be His light in a dark world. Lets let everyone know that we are proud to be a child of the King Jesus Christ and Proclaim it. And let our light shine for all to see!

    For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly will perish. Psalm 1:6

    Truth Or Error

     Many people are searching for what is true and reliable, in the clamor of conflicting voices in today’s world, some explore age old philosophies, new age ideologies and world religions, and the occult. Others adopt what they like from various sources and their own concepts of truth. However there is one reliable source of truth with which to measure the world’s ideas. Truth is found in the Creator God of the universe who is the God of truth. [Psalms.31:5]. The Bible is God’ revelation of Himself and His message to all humanity. “All scripture is inspired by God”[2 Timothy 3:16]. God chose human writers to to record that His truth would endure to all generations.[Psalms 100:5]. We can trust the unchanging Word of God…Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. All shall perish , but Gods Word will endure. And that is the truth, with no error.

    Jesus' First Miracle

    During a song service in church a young woman was not singing. When asked why, she replied, "Because I cannot sing." How do you know you cannot sing?" she was asked. "Because everyone has always told me that I cannot," said the young woman. Was it because she could not, or did not?The servants drew water from the jars but dlievered wine to the governor of the feast. [John 2:8 He saith unto them, draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bear it.] Had it remained in the jars, it would have continued to be water. The Lord commanded; the servants obeyed; The Lord wrought a miracle.This is more than an account of Jesus' first miracle. It is a parable of life. How much "water" never becomes "wine" because of our disobediance? So long as your God given talents lie dormant within you, they will be of little use to you, to others or to God. However dedicated to God's will and to His work, they will manifest His glory.

    Closeness of Jesus

    We may sometimes feel that we are failing in life. Things may not be going as we would like. There are so many things wrong in this world. It may seem like we are all alone that no one cares about us. Life is passing us by. We are on a roller coaster to disaster and there is no way off. There are many situations that may seem hopeless. Marriages failing, problems with our children, drugs, alcohol, too many bills left at the end of the money. There are many, many things that affect our daily lives. What can we do? If we are Christians we must pray. Jesus will hear and comfort us in our time of need. We can feel the closeness of Jesus in our lives. If you are not a Christian you are missing the opportunity of having a close relationship with Jesus. To feel the comfort and peace that only He can give.  God will forgive all sins if we will only ask in earnest.

     Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

    John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
